Would if SHE could but SHE has forgotten where they were planted! But it would help if they grew a leaf to show where they are!
So today's tip-toe'ing was amongst the Autumn Raspberry canes, they do not grow in the same way as summer fruiting varieties and they spread, like everything else is doing it seems!
But whose complaining? Not US, it looks as if it will be a bumper year for all of HER fruit this year!
The bed has to be hand weeded, the canes were cut to the ground in late February and now, as there is lots of new growth, one has to be careful not to pull this out, the way to do it properly is with YOUR fingers, they 'tip toe' very gently, it is tiring work as the area is large and YOU, or rather, SHE, does this is on HER hands and knees.
But SHE must, otherwise there will be no boxes of special treats in the freezer. "Of what", I heard YOU say, well, of all that fruit that SHE has learnt how to take such good care of and talking of taking care, some people are very 'strange', are they not?
They do not seem to realise that if they want to learn something, that it takes 'some' concentration and effort on their behalf!
Do they think that fruit bushes and trees just get plonked in the soil? The answer is no, they don't, SHE learnt how to plant properly, where and how to attach the stakes, how to prune, when to feed and what to feed and the end result of this work?
Are those boxes dull of lubbly-jubbly soft fruit for special treats throughout those long winter months
If YOU want to learn something, do it properly, study, read, talk to people who know their trade, whatever it might be and listen to what they say.
Don't fiddle about in a half hearted fashion unless,
of course, YOU are not serious and that is alright, however, don't waste other people's time. But, as
WE all know, there are 'none so queer as folk".
Now, I am 'tip-toe'ing' off to find that apple SHE
hid under the quilt to give it a good Beaking, then
to bed, so I say "farewell" until tomorrow Dear Readers for fresh air is very sleepy making.
