Be thee well, Dear Readers? WE be well but WE were slightly discombobulated, that is such a fine word! For it describes accurately the state of OUR nuclear family (of two, along with several Patron Saints of Door Frames).
Was it going to rain.. or was it to be sunny.. was SHE going garden here or there? In the end the weather decided whether SHE would go or not.. a sharp downpour of cold rain settled the question.
How does SHE garden at home? Well, 8,000 sq ft needs to be used to its' maximum capacity, so not every seed gets planted at the same time.. SHE staggers the sewing of seeds.
This means WE have plants at various stages of growth, therefore, WE have.. and this makes old Beaky drool at the mere thought of them.. little 'baby' Beans and Peas, of all varieties, growing throughout the season.
Today SHE planted lots of pots of Broad / Fava Beans, French Beans, both bush and climbing, Runner Beans, Borlotti Beans, Oregon Snap Peas, Early Onwards. (WE are approximately four weeks behind due to that atrocious weather in April) and some Sweet Peas as a gift for a friend.
And now they are all as snug as bugs in rugs in those very clever boxes SHE uses and sitting on top of a radiator shelf in the back room, although it is raining on and off, the day is actually quite bright but SHE, being a kind soul, gives them a BIG boost by turning on MY special 'winter' lamp..
MY boost is coming up.. it is called lunch time! More later folks, WE hope YOU are enjoying YOUR Sunday?
