AND TO MAKE YOU REALLY ENVIOUS.. HERE IS WHAT WE HAD FOR SUPPER..

Yes, Dear Readers, I did tell YOU about the piece of Salmon marinating in herbs and oil, what I did not tell YOU about was what SHE brought home from the garden yesterday.

Over four kilos of Asparagus! The very first day's picking were a few rather 'slim' spears, last Friday the amount of spears was higher and SHE gave some to that Goaty mother, they were much fatter and up to OUR usual quality.

Now, of course, WE have recently had quite a significant amount of rain and although SHE has been moaning about having to wear socks, it has not been exactly freezing, so Asparagus has gone into 'full production mode'.. YIPPEE!

WE love this stuff.. so much that SHE does not even mind HAND weeding its' rather large bed.. 13ft x 13ft with 60 plants! YOU have to do it by hand as one does not want to damage the 'crowns'.

It is back breaking work, so SHE does a little section of each row every day SHE is there, it is the only way to keep pesky weed under control.

So there YOU have it, that was our menu for tonight, steamed Asparagus followed by Salmon with a few diagonally sliced slices of Courgette lightly fried in spicy oil together with a couple of fresh mini plum Tomatoes. Ummmm.

HER pudding was a couple of dried White Figs and I will 'beak' an Apple, starting off with stalk. I hope YOU take as much care of YOUR tummy and what goes inside it as WE do with OURS?

Tomorrow's YumYum?

Well, I know SHE is planning on going to our
lubbly-jubbly butcher, Dickinson's in North End Road, so WE may have some of their splendid homemade sausages, they are 'pretty' good and have fresh Leek chopped into the meat. Slurp.

Now, where's that old roly-poly Apple hiding?

GeeGee Parrot.
