Thungersheimer Ravensburg Muller-Thurgau Kabinett Halbtrocken. No, SHE has not remembered it, Bill wrote it down for HER.
He had telephoned to see if there was a chance that SHE could join him in Germany for a week and luckily SHE was just back from looking after Hugo and was free to go.
SHE flew, no Parrots in HER life in those days meant that SHE was free to go away, to Stuttgart. A city with a fine reputation for good food! WE know how these two loved their food.
Such a nice place Stuttgart, they stayed with friends of Bill just outside the city. He travelled often there for business and the evenings were a happy mix of friends and work colleagues.
The BEST evening was the simplest! Asparagus season had started and SHE remembers ordering this and Spatzle. The wine with the long name was what Bill ordered for HER to go with Asparagus, it was delicious beyond description, he took such great care of HER.
Why does SHE recall this holiday, the food and the wine? Well, finally Asparagus is, at long last, on the menu at home. WE love it!
I saw the steamer pot earlier.. could WE be going to be lucky?
