Oh dear.. SHE shot out of bed this morning because electricians were due between 08.00 and 10.00 hours.. and waited.. and waited and is still waiting..
I think the expression is 'No Show'.. for it is now past 10.30 of the clock and they are not here.. all in black and white in email from the managing agents.. but no electricians have come.
And whilst I am talking about timing.. whoooo.. Something very nearly went wrong for that young Irish Golfer yesterday.. he had his green time on his mobile phone at the wrong time!
Made it to the course with help of a very kind Illinois State Trooper.. the European team went on to win the Ryder Cup.. both the golfer and the trooper will be ragged about this for years ro come!
It is a rainy day in London town.. sounds as if it comes from a song, doesn't it? But SHE has stuff to do so SHE had better get on and do it.. SHE is thinking of donning wet weather gear and going to garden.. the more leaf mould that SHE gets onto all of the beds before ole Jack Frost comes the better the soil will be next year..
Waterproof clothing is mode of dress today. not the chicest style but it keeps YOU dry, fluffy scarf around neck keeps one warm without being too hot whilst working.
So SHE is waiting until the clock gets to eleven of the clock and then will tell managing Gent that the electrical company will have to reschedule their work.. SHE is going out for the day.
Ugh.. no! I don't want to go out there.. very dismal and wet.. I am staying in and thinking thoughts.. of food WE will eat next year.. I do hope SHE leaves LOTS of room for all those Beans WE lurve to eat.. Baby Broad Beans no bigger than a small finger nail, tossed in olive oil with garlic, fusilli and a crunch of black pepper.
Truly stuff to dream about..
First of October.. it even 'sounds' Autumnal, does it not?
GeeGee Parrot.
