THE MAGIC IS STARTING!

Good morning everyone.. Ooooh.. what a long and good night's sleep that was! Sometime WE should all do that, that being unplug or turning off the landline, mobiles, laptop, iPad etc, and just go to bed and sleep.

SHE had a busy day yesterday, people not doing what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it.. ggrrr.. meant that SHE spent time running about doing this stuff.

So much for getting (very long) grass cut and those Beans and the next lot of Tommies planted!

SHE knows that it is pointless trying to plant baby plants in a hurry. SHE went to the garden but then behaved like Ferdinand (the Bull), which is a charming, VERY old children's story.

Yes, SHE did pick lots of Asparagus, herbs etc. But instead of weeding, which needs to be done, SHE put fresh water into a bucket, switched HER mobile to camera, took a pair of secaturs, walked about and took lots of photos.

Pulled two French Breakfast Radishes, they were delicious with a leaf or two of Sorrel, such a tasty combination!

Into water went several pieces of Syringa Vulgaris 'Sensation', a beautiful Lilac, in that every petal is edged with white, it is the only two toned Lilac in existence, go and find it on the web, it has a lovely perfume too!

The Convallaria Majalis.. Lily of the Valley.. were ready to be picked, four weeks behind schedule!

Then a long stem of Clematis Montana 'Mayleen' joined the Lilac. SHE prunes all HER Montana's very hard after they have flowered, shock horror!

Report this woman immediately to the RHS.. Royal Horticultural Society! YOU are not supposed to prune Montana's apparently.. really?

So YOU want to look at a whole lot of bare stems with a few flowers right at the top? We don't.. WE want a fat and glossy hedge which acts as a wind break and which perfumes the air!

WE want the three S's.. 'Spring's Sweet Smells'. WE want the magical perfumes that scented plants give.

GeeGee Parrot.
