TWO VERY SMILEY FACED PEOPLE.. THE SPECIALIST AND HER.

How about that..

SHE tried to call people as soon as SHE was out of hospital.. But guess SHE was in shock because as soon as SHE gave results to Caroline, it really hit HER and SHE started to cry.. no point trying to talk whilst blubbing, SHE caught bus home via Waitrose..

Oh.. yes, results of all those hidously invasive tests.

SHE has NO Cancer! NO Tumours! Nothing 'beastly' at all..

What SHE does have is a weakness in the walls of HER blood vessels*, they 'sort of spring a leak now and again' and then stop.. scary but not nearly SO Minky-Mouse scary as ANY of those other alternatives are!!

*Hence major Keyhole Surgery that Mr. Alun Davies did for HER four years ago last month.. that was HER right Artery 'breaking' below the knee.

Whoosh.. I realise now how tense WE have been.. but it is over.

The Specialist wants HER to have Colonoscopies twice a year and to take a high dosage Iron tablet every day and, IF, SHE ever has a BAD bleed aka haemorrhage again, SHE is to call an ambulance and ring hospital emergency line to say SHE is coming in and to give operator HER Hospital Number.

The good guys.. let's hear it for HER GREAT Doctors who have been SO thorough and so kind..

Parasite & Worm Specialist Dr. Moore at Hospital of Tropical Diseases.

Gastroenterologist Dr. Geoff Smith at Charing Cross.

Nice men.. Great Doctors. "Thank you's" will be HAND written and posted tomorrow to both of these lovely men.

AND to YOU.. HER very lovely friends who have supported HER.. both verbally and by mail.. not in alphabetical order..

And last but most certainly NOT least, Leigh Oswald Kew, whose compassion, friendship and verbal support right from the start all those years ago has been amaazing..

SHE and I would not be sane if WE had not had experienced your gift of kindness.. "THANK YOU"..

  4. To HER:

I thought of you when reading the Raj Quartet by Paul Scott. You may like to read it when you feel better. It's written in a very British sort of way and extremely rich in sentence construction. I believe that I could still learn much in terms of punctuation, when reading through his four novels, starting with the Jewel in the Crown. The biography of Miss Crane at the beginning reminded me a bit of you, but not completely. There are no parrots in the plot by the way. Drink lot['s of tea to keep you entrails clean. Black tea, particularly Lapsam Soochong or PG tips does wonders when you are having gut problems. I have had to go for several painful endoscopie sessions before being operated on the removal of haemmorrhoidal tissue last year so I can really empathise with the pain and stress you must have gone through of late. Best and speedy convalescence do I extend to you from Moscow.

  5. Sorry to be late to catch up on the blog and learn the good news. What a relief! A person with such a positive outlook on life deserves a positive outcome! Bravo and keep on toddling! I love reading things that make me smile and chuckle, and GeeGee and the blog do that in spades.
