SITTING ON TOP OF THE DOOR..

Cannot remember the words of the song about sitting on a dock.. but it sounds quite like what is a'going on here at home..

Very quiet day, locked out of the garden by a defunct key, SHE sat on the step and I perched outside for a couple of hours in the sunshine.. very pleasant it was too.

Then SHE lay down for a nap.. SHE gets tired mid afternoon but then SHE wakes up looonng before I do.. now it is past eight of the clock, almost MY bed time, SHE is reading a Peter James thriller and ME, I am jurst a'dozing on top of comfy door in sitting room.

Fierce Frosty Tiger is sitting at other end.. he is one of door frame protectors along with ole Daffy Duck, he is quite scary, I don't have 'chats' with him like I do with Daffy.

SHe is quiet because norty sad tooth hurts.. this will now have to come out, it seemed ok when the work was first done but dentist DID say that it might have to be removed.. sigh.. poor tooth.

The swollen gum has gone down and now tooth is loose and wobbly.

And all because those silly bakers don't wash their pans out and the crust builds up.. it was as hard as a piece of shell.. infact, that was what both SHE and the company thought it was, Walnut shell, but no, upon examination they admitted it was crust!

Makes eating very tricky.. like friend who had major dental work also this week.. what a pair of old 'gummies' they are.. I am very lucky to have Beaky, that is for sure!

OK.. bed time for this small redbummed person. I don't think SHE will be far behind ME.. "Good night Dear Readers".

GeeGee Parrot.

  1. I'm so sorry about your tooth! Are they assuming any responsibility? They should cover your costs at the least. Good luck.

    1. Hello Pegeen.. In a letter marked 'Without Prejudice' at the top..
      The Customer Services wrote
"Due to continual recycling of our tins a build up of hard dough can occur. It seems that on this occasion that it has fragmented and become lodged in the product. The tins are cleaned on a rotational basis and this should help prevent this problem. Please be aware that this is of no risk to yourself or family.... etc, etc...
On behalf of Irwin's Bakery, please accept our sincerest apologies for this unfortunate incident and any inconvience it may have caused. Please find enclosed some vouches as a gesture of goodwill. We trust this will not prevent you enjoying Irwin's products in the future".
The letter contained 3 x £1.00 off your next purchase vouchers...
That £3.00, Pegeen, is the level of 'responsibility' that they are assuming... words fail me but they won't when I write back to them with their vouchers torn in two.. ggggggrrrrr..

  2. That's poor customer relations! I hope you can find another bakery for your business.
