CHORE FILLED DAY...

WE bet YOU have those too.. the very good thing was that they stopped HER going to garden.. because it started to rain and oh boy.. it 'really' rained for several hours..

But SHE sat on a 211 bus jurst grinning like a fool thinking of that new bed that was almost finished yesterday.. rain will have gone down far beyond 'top soil' and will be making worms very happy.

Can YOU jurst imagine being a worm stuck in dry soil.. poor worms, doesn't bear thinking about!

Oooh! I have jurst eaten something really tasty.. SHE told this to Joanna this morning so here it is for YOU to try.

In vegetable rack were some 'sad' looking carrots, should have been eaten last week.. so chopchop (went very sharp knife) on carrots, chopchop and core (but not peel) on three tangy eating apples, on onions red and white, in went two cloves of garlic, bay leaf, crushed coriander seeds, black pepper, little salt, most of the chicken stock from last night and another pint of water.

Lid on, on a medium heat to hubble & bubble whilst washing was sorted out and putaway. YES, fear not, soup was turned off before SHE left the house.

Then off to Post Office to collect three packages and an invitation to Cousin Steve's wedding, home via North End Road.

Bought Olive Oil, Barley and two packets of Bulgar Wheat - coarse grade, found it also comes in brown, WHO KNEW? SHE didn't! Plus a chicken from Dickinsons for our weekend yumyum.

SHE came home and put soup on to warm up and added a cup of Bulgar Wheat plus a little more stock.. brought to boil, turned heat
off and left pan to sit..

I was already munching a piece of favourite bread when SHE then
waved this spoonful of orangey-yellow stuff at ME.. I sniffed it..
delicious.. slightly of chick-the-lick of which, I am, extremely fond,
took a beakful.. oooh.. scrummydumptious! I took a whole serving
spoonful.. perfect yumyum.

It has a pleasant mix of spices, vegetables and jurst a hint of that
sweet tangy apple.. very tasty with Bulgar Wheat making it more
than jurst a soup-a-da-loupa.

Tomorrow, a Turkish Dish with Bulgar and Peppers is on 'our
menu', YES, of course, WE will give YOU the recipe.

SHE is being a Culture Vulture at Museums tomorrow, wants to
see the Bronzes before they go.. has a bit of time, they are here
until December 9th.

Meanwhile, there are emails to answer and papers to read.. so WE
both wish YOU a very happy evening and tomorrow.. never fear.. for WE will be here..

GeeGee Parrot.
