Meanwhile... down in the chiller was waiting..

Do YOU remember who or what SHE bought on Saturday on the way back from Barnes Food Fair?  Full marks if YOU do.. 

Squiddley-Diddley. that's who! All cleaned and ready to go, he had been marinating in oil with chillies and garlic, fresh wet garlic, ooh, none of that dried up old stuff YOU find in shops.

And as BIG treat instead of Bulgar Wheat, SHE made a 'proper' Risotto with Carnoli Rice.

Now a lot of restaurants would never serve Squid in a Risotto because of the ink which does make Rice go a most peculiar colour but oh, Dear Reader.. if YOU have access to ole Squid and like a GOOD Risotto.. then go immediately, if not sooner, to YOUR own lubbly-jubbly Fishmonger and purchase some small Squid.

SHE also occasionally buys a larger one for the bigger tentacles that they have and, of course, the much bigger ink sacks.. but do not let YOUR fishmonger 'palm' YOU off with HUGE ones.. they are too big and not so tasty.

The smell was out of earthly YumYum HQ.. SHE had kitchen fan on and I am extremely surprised that WE did not have every man and his dog banging on front door asking to be fed.

I got given a fair dollop.. together with TWO whole slices of MY
favourite Rye and Sunflower Bread.. slurp-the-durp! It truly was a Smack chops and lick ole Beaky time.

Then SHE read emails that had come through.. Poor Joanna has done something to a very norty nurve in her leg and it is mighty 
sore and stops her sleeping.. ooooh, WE cannot imagine anything 
more evil-devil than NOT being able to sleep properly at night.

Then SHE got an email from Pegeen.. this new all singing and 
dancing, supposed to be better version of Blogger / Blogspot is a pain.. I will not say where it hurts but it is really mad what they 
have done to the controls which YOU have to pass if YOU want to leave a comment..

Grrrrr.. SHE has had this whilst trying to leave comments on 
Joanna's Blog 'La Vie en Rose' and on Debbie's Goaty Blog called 'Ellie's Dairy'.. SHE left comments, went through all those silly 
hoops, then Comments were never posted on either site, grr!

Pegeen has been making Eggplant Parmigiana... oooh, WHAT IS
THAT? I know that SHE has never made that for ME! Pegeen was given two beautiful Eggplants and made one dish for her and another dish for the Pastor's wife who had been in hospital.. WE like to hear of things like this.. 

Constance was an extremely fine cook.. and when SHE had a 
vegetable garden, would do lots of cooking for people who did not 
have access to such delicious fresh vegetables.. people being given something edibubble that a friend has made with lurve. 

WE know WE do, that is for sure! Susan, HER most belurved 
Danish friend, NEVER let's HER go out of her sight without putting a packet of her most scummydumptious Danish Cookies 
into HER basket or hand.. 

Tomorrow is Tuesday.. fresh fish at Mister Fishmonger.. A little 
Sea Bream perhaps? Jurst delicious, pan fried gently for about 
four minutes either side.

But now.. it is bed time for these two dollies.. WE are sleepy, there was a quick and extreme change in the weather and WE now are in or rather under a big depression which has come up from The Bay of Biscay.. lots of rain and wind.

Do not fear.. WE will be back tomorrow with Tales of delicious YumYum.. do YOU know how to make Brown Bread Ice Cream and NO.. YOU do not need an Ice Cream maker?  

SHE gave the recipe to Leigh today and will write it for YOU tomorrow.
