Good evening Dear Readers.. and I trust YOU are having a 'good' evening? WE are as SHE got off bus at North End Road and went to lubbly-jubbly Fishmonger.. and bought Sardine Fillets..
Whoa.. delicious beyond belief and so different to those slinky people that come out of tins.. with a bit of bread and some salt.. stuff to dream about, SHE gave ME two whole fish and I ate the lot and smacked MY chops.. yea please, may WE have those again?
Now back to those poor ole earthworms and headaches.. YOU see SHE had previously forked over this huge bed, turned everything upside down which left it looking dreadfully messy but what SHE was doing was killing scrappy grass and weeds, today SHE went over it bit by bit and dug out all the weeds, grass roots and put them onto a 'take away' pile, NO.. WE don't want couch grass roots in OUR compost pile. Horrid stuff.
Then SHE took an old metal fork and bashed it straight down onto the clumps of earth and when SHE told me this about, I immediately thought "but what about earthworms, don't they get headaches?"
Who knows the answer to this? But after working hard for two hours on what had been a scrappy bit of ground, there is now a well dug-over and weed free bed. All ready for our winter potatoes.. nothing better than 'Baby Potatoes' home grown for Christmas Day.
SHE has to remember to harvest the Mints, SHE grows several different varities and planted some in the paths, when SHE cuts the grass the smell is glorious and Ants HATE it.. so, too, do Mice!
But tomorrow is Dental Day, WE have to look at the appointment card, as WE cannot remember what time it is but it is only jurst behind The V& A.. not a long way to shuffle..
So with tummies full of Sardine and lubbly-jubbly Rye Bread, chewed MANY times, by both of us.. it is time to bathe and hit the sack.. WE had a loong day today and tomorrow is going to be a corker as SHE has so much to do..
I had a VERY long 'chat' with Dagga-the-Parrot today, as HE is in great Parrot Playground in the sky, YOU have to realise that I have to be asleep in order for US to be able to communicate..
But a HUGE amount of translating went on and HE has 'up-loaded- several of MY dreams into HIS memory in English so now it jurst a question of HIM getting them through to HER so SHE can transcribe them onto MY Blog.. "Hello.. is there anyone there?".. sometimes, I wonder!
But WE send our love and hope that everything went well to OUR dear friend who underwent huge amount of dental work today.. it makes HER one extraction tomorrow look like a walk in the park!
That's your lot.. off WE go.. I will here tomorrow, at some point, to keep YOU up to date on the goings on aka shenanigans of our household!
