Whooooo... WE got it.. WE got rain! SHE spoke with lovely Caroline in Exeter who said it was 'very' wet and beginning to be windy.. up here.. pale grey sky but ominiously 'still'..
I managed to show HER door to where Mister Dyson and other house cleaning equipments lives and SHE 'got it'.. WE now have a half-way decent place to live.. but, oh boy, is SHE easy to distract!
Huh.. anyway, dishwasher is washing dishes and clothes washer is washing towels.. so WE are getting somewhere..
When SHE was at The Food Fair SHE had a long chat with a lurvely supplier from The Isle of Wight.. He remembered her Mail Order company called The Flying Fish Company and they chatted about old suppliers.. notably 'Cottage Delight'.. ooh, they did seriously delicious food of which SHE sold a huge amount.
'Coln Valley Smoke House' did all HER smoked Trout and a most delightful, very elderly man called Derek Beale was HER Eel Supplier.. have YOU ever eaten Smoked Eel meat or Smoked Eel Pate? SHE used to sell as much as he could supply HER with.
SHE still has a couple of clients from those far off and long ago days. HER Iranian Caviar was sold at a fair price and SHE sold a LOT of it.. oh.. Smoked Trout Pate, all you do is add Creamed Horseradish sauce and a bit of pepper and then. hill it slightly in a container.. so quick, to make and eat!
But that was then and 'now' it is Sunday lunch time!!
SHE bought from this nice smiley man a small box of mixed Fungi.. and has pan fried them in unsalted butter with garlic, the Bulgar Wheat is on the stove and when it has absorbed the stock, SHE will gently add the Fungi.
SHE has had a few slices of some very edibubble Salami.. a stall
was selling three different Salamis for £10.00. Silly people.. they should have had a large rubber stamp with which to stamp their name and telephone number on the brown bags in which they put their goods, for rubber stamps are NOT expensive and it would mean people, who liked their produce, would know how to order
more..
Still raining.. SHE is going to stay home.. FAR TOO WET to paint
little shed.. staying at home with: radio, ironing board, the whoosh
machine aka steam iron, lavender water, pile of ironing and ME to
amuse HER!
WE have Mrs.Spot Pigeon on our doorstep.. She always comes
here when rain is very hard and it is cold, Spot knows she is safe
and that SHE won't 'shoo' her off.
Bulgar Wheat has fluffed and puffed itself up.. now to fold in those Fungi.. WE will report back later on state of OUR nation and what they tasted like later.. stay dry and warm Dear Readers, NO, SHE has not turned the heating on but SHE has put on a pair of socks and an extra sweater.
