SEPTEMBER.. what a month it has been"

What a roller coaster of a month it has been.. some days have had US happy and ONE day will always be sad.. what can WE do, huh?

Apologies for not posting last night.. ALL HER FAULT.. SHE worked for loong time at garden, trundling backwards and forwards up and down the trackwith a wheelbarrow collecting leaf mould to put onto the beds.. it will rot down further over the winter, it lightens soil and those wiggly worms lurve it!

So when HER friend Joska, opposite side of track to HER, offered a lift to Big Tesco on Warwick Road, SHE accepted very happily!

Then home with all ingredients for Turkish dish I told YOU about on Friday night.  HERE it is..These quantities do three /four with something else as well.

WE had that steamed chick-the-lick that was done on Friday night.
But it would be good with fish.. steamed Sea Bream perhaps?

Large frying pan.
2 Tablespoons of butter, SHE added small amount of Olive Oil as well.
200 gms of COARSE Bulgar Wheat.
350 mls of cold water, SHE added some chicken jelly from steamed chicken pan.
1 large tomato.. chopped.
1 large onion.. shopped.
1 large green pepper chopped. (SHE added small courgette / zucchini.
1 clove of Garlic.
Salt & pepper to taste.

Melt butter, fry vegetables over not too high a heat for 5 minutes,
add cold water to pan, when water boils, add Bulgar Wheat and
turn down heat... dish is done when all water is absorbed.

We ate this with over steamed Chicken.. it was delicious!  I jurst LURVE chicken bones.. crunch and there is the marrow..

SHE is off to see those Lely portraits at Hampton Court.. via Lidl.. as WE are completely out of MY Rye and Sunflower Bread.. minor panic as there was only ONE slice with which to break MY fast this morning.. but Buttery Egg was good, so tumtum not empty and MY share of the mug of LappySanSooChong this morning in bed.. was HoHoHo.. jurst slurpa-the-durpa!

Happy days everyone.. what are YOU doing today, Dear Readers?

GeeGee Parrot.
