You had information last year about several Smoke Houses located in Suffolk and you know about her passion for all thing Goaty. In last night's post, we told you about a farm shop that she was taken to for lunch, just in case there was a spare inch in her tumtum that wasn't full of YumYum left over from the previous night. Joke..
But, silly me, I didn't give you the name of the farm shop. Well, it was late and I was sleepy. Here it is.

Be prepared to be truly astounded! For London certainly doesn't have a place of this calibre unless you managed to combine Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Selfridges all under one roof but even then, I don't think she's ever see purple carrots in any of the before mentioned shops. Carrots have not always been orange, go and do research and be prepared to be astounded.
Joe had spoken about another cheese making company in Kent who produce an amazing unpasturised cow cheese called WINTERDALE SHAW which is for sale in Fortum & Masons in London and at Macknade in Kent who also stock the cheeses from Ellie's Dairy.
Because a Cheddar cheese has to be made within a certain area of England, this cheese cannot be classified or called a Cheddar but is described as:
'A traditional cloth bound cheese made near Sevenoaks by Robin Betts with milk from his own cows. Cellar matured for 10 months'.
I don't care if all those people throw things at me. For THIS CHEESE, Dear Readers, is brilliant and how she remembers the Cheddar cheese of her youth tasting.
A young assistant gave her a sliver to taste, she put it onto her tongue and a nano-second later.. Zap.. Kapow.. Wallop.. Zing.. the most brilliant tastes flooded her mouth. Far too many to really explain to you but they were the high and low notes of a perfect cheese made by a Master Cheesemaker.
Mr. Robin Betts of Kent, England you are to be congratulated. What an outstanding, wonderful product and so it is fitting and right that you have won all of those numerous awards with your outstanding cheese.
Oh, happy mouth is just around the corner for she purchased some of this wonderful cheese. Thank goodness, as otherwise I wouldn't get to taste a bit and know what she's talking about! Now do stop fretting for here is the website for this brilliant company and they'll tell you how and where you will be able to find it. They produce it in a Smoked version and another cheese that she didn't taste.

Now we are off and this gives you time to hurry-scurry off and order some for Christmas, I promise you that you'll not be disappointed.
She's making several different chocolate salami today, a Szechuan Spice flavoured one is on the list together with a Chilli flavoured one, for as Mexican's know.. Chocolate & Chilli are a marriage made in Heaven.. just like the Weald of Kent and brilliant cheeses.. both Cow & Goaty.
