Answer.. When you leave the Safe key out for the burglar. Somehow I don't think the Insurers will be paying out on this loss of about a million pounds worth of jewellery and cash which has, apparently, been stolen from the home of Simon Cowell.
For it is all very well putting your valuables into a safe but I should think that part of the insurance contract stipulates that the key should not be left anywhere that it would be easily found and they'll be taking a dim view of this robbery which was facilitated so easily.
The numpties have gone.. they were more stupid than normal and haven't done the pipes in the bathroom but for the sake of a tin of paint, she'd rather they didn't come back! Goodness knows how many units of electricity they used in those two days! All the lights were on, the front door was left wide open and they left their mobiles plugged in charging all day long.
And worked with grimy hands again! Having washed their dirty finger marks off the ceiling from last month, the same has to be done again, they're incapable of doung 'clean' work. Grrr.
Let's talk about other things! The dreadful rain hasn't come down to the south east yet, but Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the north west of Britain are and have been soaked by torrential rain, the weather warning is red, this signifies very high alert, and it is due to continue to rain for a further 24 hours.
Power loss, severe flooding and more rain to come. Let's us hope the Government steps in and doesn't just leave it to the local councils to tackle this. But who knows anything about how the minds of these politicians work these days.
For I, personally, see no reason why the UK should be sending 'aid' in the form of manymany millions to India when that country is building a Space Programme.. WHY? A man has already landed on the moon, the existing space programmes are already set up and reporting back from other planets besides the Moon, if your country is so impoverished, WHY are you throwing money at something that other countries have already done? I don't 'get' it.
Now, of course, we all know why China is ploughing sixty billion dollars of aid into Africa.. it is because Africa has all of the minerals that China needs and so it will take them, rather like it takes the ivory from dead animals that, unfortunately for the animals, breed and live in Africa.
We have had dreadful winds, she was out with WW today and it was dire up in Streatham. The gusts of cold wind and street dirt made her trip not a quick or a happy one, luckily the Ishpol wasn't sold out, that would have made her blue and she managed to get that and some fresh sauerkraut.
The traffic was dreadful, it crawled along through Clapham Junction, people were out in force but the markets were very quiet, there were only two stalls at Streatham Market, the weather forecast had been for heavy rain and strong winds, well, we had the strong winds, that was for sure.
She did our food buying today and won't leave the house tomorrow, which is good as there is much work to be done in pulling and putting the sitting room back into shape.
I have continued to pluck my feathers, I don't do it when she's under my feet but when she goes out.. she's very unhappy about it and is waiting anxiously for this herbal remedy to arrive.. I may be bald by then. Sigh. It's not a great look, that's for sure.
