ON BEING AWARE THAT SOMETHING WASN'T QUITE RIGHT BUT NOT SURE WHY.. READ ON & DON'T CHOKE..

OH DEAR.. OH DEARIE, DEARIE ME! She's lost the plot, I am not quite sure which plot but she's lost it.  Back to the beginning, for as you know, it's my favourite place to start a Tale.. zoomazoom.. back to this morning.

After breaking our fast quite early with eggs and ham for her and egg and hummus for me, we went to the bathroom, she washed and dressed, there were things to donate to our 'just around the corner' charity shop, plastic stuff to take to the recycling depot and two thermos to give to the boys who clean our streets, who are always dropping and breaking theirs.

Off she set and it wasn't until later when she was on her way to the hairdressers having done all the various drops that she noticed one boot, the left, was slightly snugger than the other. Huh, she thought to herself, I've lost more water off my right foot than my left and carried on with her day.

Having had her hair washed and cut by lovely Anita, who is desperately sad as she has to have Caine her much beloved dog put to sleep, she walked to the bank. Left boot still snugger than the right.. how strange, she thought but walked on.

She came home and started the job of packing pots ready to take over to our lovely Lebanese friend's brother, two trips and then she knocked on their door, Raja helped her carry them through into the garden and said "oh, look, they're in flower" and yes, they were, the littlest of her Calamondins was covered in the minutest of flower buds and the biggest of the two has a fruit just beginning to turn from green to pale orange.

How fitting that our babies will be giving their new owner such a lovely welcome when she sees them for the first time in two weeks time.

Having had a cup of tea and a slice and a bit of delicious chocolate cake, she said goodbye and came home. Pork tenderloin for supper, she's staying in, the weather isn't pleasant, drizzling with cold rain, cosy clothes are the answer and she took her boots off.

And discovered exactly WHY the left boot was snugger than the right.. how she hadn't noticed.. well, she had things on her mind, but you'd thought the different height heels would have given the game away.. I wonder if you've guessed the answer?

Which is, that she had on two completely different boots, left boot being made of lizard in the darkest brown almost black with a higher heel.. right boot made of lizard and suede and black with a lower heel.

I rest my case your honour.. she's as mad a cricket but hey, it makes for funny times back home on the ranch and as I've never known any different, I'd probably be as bored as could be without the 'small' level of lunacy that lives here with us.

PipPip..  Dear Readers.. PipPip..
