AN OPEN LETTER TO LINGERIE MAKERS & ELLE MACPHERSON.

Why do you think that slim women and girls only want to wear beige, black and white underwear?

Well, we don't, in fact, those colours, whilst 'ok', are SO DREARY.. Lordy, talk about boring!

Now, we would like to wear other colours as well but are there any 'out' there? She can verify that the pickings are very slim. She saw a beautiful green bra today, a proper 'Christmas' green, but was it produced in a small size? Nah, the smallest was a size 32 and that's too big for my mum.

The weight loss means that she has shrunk and is still shrinking, she doesn't look strange AND she certainly isn't anorexic in the slightest but it is infuritating that lingerie companies will make bras for 'larger' ladies in fabulous colours but not for slim ones. What do models do? They can't all have a much bigger back, how about small women like Kylie Minogue?

Get with it lingerie companies and this applies to you too, Elle, you get with it as well. None of you are listening to the women who are the fitters in lingerie departments or stores or those who sell your lingerie, because they're ALL saying "we could sell coloured bras all day long in your small size but companies don't make them and if they do, our buyers aren't buying them".

She wishes she was able to do a quick trip into the States, for their range of lingerie, like their range of sizes and different widths in shoes, is vast compared to Europe. There's no point in saying "she could order it on line, for each lingerie manufacturer makes different styles and these are slightly different in size and each style fits differently.. grrrr.

But at least she came home with a pretty white one today, where did she find it? Well, quite close to home, in Peter Jones in Sloane Square, where a very helpful assistant listened to her tale of woe and hunted one down in her size. Please note: ONE.

But the lovely Bonnie in West Hollywood would have had at least five or seven different bras for her to try on and in multiple colourways. There's no point in moaning, she's been very spoilt by having exposure to all manner and sorts of lovely things, lingerie and shoes included, for a very long time and now she'll just have to wear.. boring bras.

Sigh, it's a problem I don't suffer from, so there are some benefits to being a girl Parrot.

GeeGee Parrot.
