SHE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPY.. BUT AT LEAST SHE DIDN'T FREEZE!

Funny how an annoying thing will actually help you, isn't it? She was looking forward to being in the sunlight, fresh air and giving those weeds a nasty time yesterday but because of that up-the-creek bus service, she was a little grumpy upon her return.

But that mood soon changed when, after having made us a delicious meal of green vegetables and other scrummy things, she went outside to water the orange trees and the newly planted herbs.

Having given everything a watery top-up, she came back in with a smiley face to tell me that the sun had disappeared, it was mighty windy out there and if she hadn't come back when she did.. she'd have been miles from home and freezing.. that cheered her up enormously!

Almost all the seeds are up and in leaf now, Miss Yellow Patty-Pan Squash is lagging, only three out twelve little flying saucers have sprouted but what a speedy rate of germination! Everything was planted in the early evening of April 8th and it is only the morning of April 13th!

I wonder what they'll think when she tells them that they're going to be living 'out' there at the allotments and not 'in' here at our cosy home?

Cook our fast breaking yumyum.. Post office to send a package.. Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company for calico and ther other stuff needed to make a banner.. hair cut.. house work.. call British Rail.. clean my night-house. These are a few of the things she has to do today.

I'd better let her go so she can start to get on and do them. Don't be fooled by this weather folks, it can be quite chilly-billy out there.. but the days are much longer and that fact alone is enough to cheer us up!

PipPip.. it's time for my Buttery Egg-the-Peg and Crunchy Crust, yes, I know we're silly.. you're probably silly too but in a different way!

GeeGee Parrot.
