Now don't all laugh at once.. some of you could smile and do a Fandango and then snigger when you are out of sight of anyone.. for sniggering is a very sneaky thing and someone bigger than you might think you were laughing at them.. not good.
Anyway, back to the post..
She has lived here for an incredibly long time and so it was a long time ago she bought and installed a towel radiator in the bathroom. It keeps the towels dry and warm so bathing or showering is blissful because there are these cosy towels ready to wrap around you.
A few days ago she machine washed a pair of trousers, a fleece, leggings, underwear and a thermal vest. They were put to dry on the radiator as she wanted them the next morning and did not want to dry them in the dryer part of the washing machine.
Next morning, after imbibing a mug of hot LapySang, we moved into YumYum HQ, broke our fast and then moved on into the bathroom. After washing, she reached for her underwear and put it on.
Cosy.. then another layer of clothes went one, the leggings and the thermal vest, even cosier, then the trousers and fleece.. now very cosy!
By now she was dressed AND warm! Why has she never thought to put the next days clothes onto the radiator before? There is plenty of room for the clothes and the towels.
Every night now she puts her next days' clothes onto the radiator and smiles.. for she now knows that.. Cosy clothes make for toasty toes!
We're in bed, we've had a yummy supper, a big stalked apple has been Beaked, her head is positioned at a comfortable angle and I am upon it, I am chirping, tooting and whistling my repetoire, she will, eventually, say the dreaded words.. "shush" or "it's bed time" but for the moment all is well.
Tomorrow we will tell you what has just been brought to our attention today. The story of Taxation in Germany of Catholics and Protestants and what happens if they don't pay the tax.. oi vey.
