Abandon.. peut etre! But what, I ask you, or rather, Dear Reader called Sally who lives in France. Our New Year's diet, all hope, the ship?
Doubtless all will be revealed, maybe she will send us more information on what to abandon.
In the meantime, I am on pole having a doze and looking out on a not very sunny day and she is finalising the packing of Salami to go to those Cookie munching men.
She has to go back to Tooting. Her lovely friends are retiring and closing their shop.. sigh.. and she feels that she must go and pay her respects and thanks before the sad deed occurs.
For it was they that found for her the best fabric in the world for lining lampshdes. It was a Japanese fabric made by a company called Toray.
Why was it SO special?
Because it stretched in all possible directions! Up and down, side to side and on the bias.. cross, and lampshade makers loved it.
It came in lots of colours, off white and optical white and they were the only shop she ever found who stocked it.
Why am I dozing in the middle of the day?
There is some extremely annoying person, we don't know who it is, who calls us every morming at some unmentionably dreadful hour.
We ignore the three rings but today, they went on-and-on.. grrr.. with their 'number withheld' on the telephone.
And then.. it transpires builders have moved into the flat next door. For, on the dot of eight of the morning clock, a jack-hammer started to drill into the other side of our, very thick, bedroom wall!
We gave up and got up. Which explains why we are a little 'slow' today, we have been up for a very long time and it is only twenty minutes past one of the afternoon clock.
'Abandon.. peut etre', a strange email to send to a friend.. no? Of course, she could mean that she no longer wishes to read my Blog, well, that is easy and one does not have to send a curious email. You just don't read it..
Simples as my friends the Meerkats would say.
