Pray for me Dear Readers.. pray the vet takes dreaded collar off.

Tomorrow it will be ten weeks to the day that Matthew put that dreaded collar onto me and she called the vet to ask if it could come off, we are going to East Sheen at 1.30pm for Matthew to look and make up his mind.

My tumtum, back and bum are feathered up, however, there are many feather missing from my legs for I am able to reach them even with this collar on but she cannot cuddle me with dreaded plastic thing around my neck and she is quite prepared to let me sleep in her bed at night for a week which would stop me 'doing' my legs when I am put to bed. She wraps me up in an old t.shirt just like she used to do with Darling Dagga.

Now how about this for the saddest thing ever? As you know she's lost all this weight and has been able to slip easily into the smallest jeans she owns, well, with no fast walking being walked, her metabolism has slowed right down.. grr.. she wore a softer pair of shoes today but made sure that another sole from an old pair of sailing shoes was put in as well.

It made a difference but Dear Readers, did or have you ever realised just how lumpy and bumpy the pavements are? And as for those evil little bumps which tell blind people that they are at a corner or street crossing.. oh, dearie me, they cause her poor foot to be so sore.

Anything uneven is agony.. she won't be gardening again for a while at this rate, the plots are very lumpy and bumpy.. even the track getting to the plots from the main road would be a nightmare as it is so chewed up.. the effect of not being able to walk as much as she is used to doing is that she's stopped losing weight and is bloating! Her jeans are a 'tiny' bit tight around her waist.. drat!

Ohh.. she's just had the most marvellous surprise! Her veryvery dearest most wonderful friend Lorraine has called. She's a truly remarkable woman with an amazing healing ability. They met when Hay darling was dying, this wonderful woman kept Hay completely free of pain for a year and a half, despite the fact that Hay was riddled with cancer of the bone and a secondary one as well.

They have no secrets these two and the call was hilarious and she too has exactly the same thing wrong with her foot, it is her left and caused in exactly the same way.. by wearing soft shoes that didn't have enough support.

Oh, how they laughed.. and we have been invited to stay! How about that, and we are off to Watchet, don't you think that's a funny name, in May for a few days. May looks like a busy month.. we're off to Wiltshire to aide and abet Michele having a birthday and then down to Somerset to catch up with all of Lorraines' news.. of which there was much more than could be talked about tonight!

But now it is terribly late.. to bed we must go.. pippip Dear Readers.. pippip.

GeeGee Parrot.
