It was such a small and simple sentence but its' impact was huge. It was said by Nancy Reagan, the wife of Ronald Reagan the American President. A woman who stood by her man and went on 'standing' for many years after he died in 2004.
She knew several people who knew the Reagans well from their life in California and through their time in Washington DC. One particular friend of ours worked with Mrs. Reagan on her anti-drug campaign. What a terrendous pull she had, her list of contacts and her address book were legendary.
And she made sure that people were thanked, her manners were impeccable. She believed in standing up for what she believed in and we wish there were more people of her stature on the public stage today.
She has died today. My mama never met her but knows that a huge amount of men and women of all nationalities throughout the world feel the same loss at her passing.. For 'Just say no' saved a lot of children from drug related deaths.
Thank you Mrs. Reagan.. thank you.. and God Bless You.
