IT'S TOOTIE - FRUITIE TIME.. AKA ROLL OUT THOSE SEVILLES!

Because all those lubbly-jubbly winter fruits are in town! Yes sirree.. ten unwaxed lemons and eight juicy-lucy oranges for a quid each! Pomegranates two for a quid with their ruby-like seeds.. oh winter fruits are just fabulous, are they not?

She eventually pushed off out of here and left me to snooze in peace, she had to go to the V&A Museum as their website had crashed, hundreds of people are trying to book their tickets for the Savage Beauty Mc.Queen show which starts in March.

Then a hop onto the bus and a crawly-seriously-slow bus journey to North End Road.. there didn't seem to be any particular reason for the delay, just lots and lots of traffic.

Into the bank for a ten pound note, you have to have cash for the stalls, ten lemons and two big pomegranates from Karen. The Seville oranges had all gone by this time, so she'll pick them up tomorrow. Two pots of hummous and a packet each of brown bulgar wheat and freekeh. Then across the road to the butchers.

Two packs of duck breasts, two chorizo sausages, a piece of belly of pork, two pigs trotters and four trays of pork bones was her swag from Messrs Dickinson. Followed by very quick pit-stop into Waitrose, their price for a carton of James White's Beetroot juice is the best in town and she lurves the stuff.

Then it was jiggedy-jig all the way home by bus. Except she got off one stop earlier than normal and crossed the road and went into Orsini's, a family run restaurant situated almost opposite the V&A, her reservation made, she inquired about the owner who is extremely unwell. "We'll know more in a weeks' time, he is in Germany having some treatment" said a smiley waitress, poor family.. sigh.

Bumpbumpbump went old WW has they came down our steps.. he was laden to the brim and she was too tired to go out again to the library. What's she got, I wondered.. ooh, apples, plenty of tasty food for the week end and more of my favourite bread.

Now, have you made any marmalade yet? It doesn't have to be made from Seville Oranges you know. You could make it out of lemons or limes or grapefruits but seville marmalade is the best! Slurp with proper rye toast and tomorrow, she is going to teach you how to make the most wonderful pudding..

RUM & ORANGE BABAS? Well, are you ready? If so, come back tomorrow and we'll give you the recipe!

Now there are things a'brewing that we have to take care of in the YumYum HQ. Enjoy your week end and we'll give you lots of ideas for yummy-scrummy things to eat besides that naughty old Baba!
