YOU ARE ALL SIMPLY BRILLIANT.. YOU DID IT!

"WHOA.. HOP DIGGETTY-DOG.. THANK YOU DEAR READERS"..

YOU have jurst topped Januarys' figure of 849.. as of a few seconds
ago the stats show that 862 Dear Readers read MY Blog in August and WE still have two more days to go..

What a lot of pleasure that gives HER and ME to see that YOU have taken time to read our Tales of escapades and silly jaunts, comment on our recipes and last BUT not least.. THE BIG ONE..

YOU have offered a staggering amount of moral support to HER over these past few weeks when WE don't actually know what WE or they (HER medics) know exactly what they are dealing with.

So kind.. too many languages to say it in and I am getting 'wet eyed'.. Good night all of YOU.

GeeGee Parrot.

  1. How fun to read about the days when you were a working girl and visited the houses of the wealthy but still polite. I agree, it is a bit like the Arabian nights.

  2. Voltaire was heavily inspired by the Arabian nights when drafting his short stories, most particularly Zadig, but they are many others heberte with an oriental Flair. In one of hid tales, a Phoenix bird is the hero. He flies around from place and is treated with great respect. "il avait du credit dans la maison". Voltaire must have had intuition that other prominent birds, such as Gee-Gee would lead the way, albeit in contemporary blog format. To return to the two houses parabole, the author would have experienced similar travails with spoiled rotten oligarchs in Moscow. They have the means, but neither the consideration, nor the culture. Many of them dwell in heavily guarded mansions, with high walls, barbed wire, aggresive dogs and security gates as if they wanted to hide from society. Money corrupts, it is true, particularly if it has not been honestly earned. Sadly, there does not seem to be any improvement in site. The cleavage between the have and have-nots keeps on widening.

SHE tells ME to tell YOU that neither of these houses belong to people who come from that Peninsula.. first house owners are Canadian & Irish and second house owners are Europeans..
