KISS KISS KISSES..

Oooooooh.. what a way to wake up... yawn.

First thing I hear EVERY morning is sound of HER making kisses as SHE walks towards MY cage - SHE gets up MUCH earlier than I do and sneaks off to make cup of delicious Lapsang.

SHE opens up front door and goes out to water the Misses Orange trees, Miss Mimosa, other plants and the HUGE Tommies outside, then comes inside, draws MY curtain, opens cage front door, puts HER hand in.. I give it slow-rub-a-dub-dub with ole Beaky and WE start our day.

WE canoodle in bedroom for about five minutes, cuddle-cuddle-kiss-kiss, gentle tickles under wing and scritch-scratch of MY nape.. ummmm. WE are very soppy, WE both accept and know this to be true..  rather be 'soppy' than some folk WE know whose faces look like ole Lemon pumped up with Botox and 'filler'.. ugh, uggy-pooh.

Well.. action station.. Mr.Dyson, whose voice I have forbidden to speak, is out plus MY ole friend Mr. Steamy-Iron and his board. SO, it looks like it is going to be a house turning over day.. SHE has been doing the equivalent at garden every day since last Friday so it is a dusting, ironing and scrub-a-dub inside day.

Better keep on move otherwise SHE would give ME a bath and a fluff-and-a-duff if I am not careful.

Yesterday, SHE did go to lubbly-jubbly Fishmonger.. four Squiddley-Diddley were in basket when SHE came home, SHE had already de-frosted some RED Rice, so garlic and onion gently fried in pan, rice added then heat turned up and Squiddley was flash fried.. oh, I lurve Squid.

I had better let HER get on and do what a gurl has to do.. I will watch and report on goings-on later.. Yes, Dear Readers, I will post again later, I feel this to be 'a two post day'.. oh, it's a'raining.. this will put a smile on HER face and make all the bushes and trees VERY happy at garden.

GeeGee Parrot.

  1. How do you get the squid tender & unrubbery? Also, do you cook with the ink? In Singapore I always did. But there we could buy baby squid, so tender already. Boys have a nostalgic memory for Calmar à L'encre. Served it w/white thai rice.

  2. Ooooh.. even jurst writing about Squiddley-Diddley makes Old Beaky water.
Take a good, thick bottomed frying pan, gently saute your garlic and onions, do not let them get coloured, when transparent, add the rice which has been already cooked, heat through til hot, turn up heat - we cook on gas - then making sure there is a little oil left (not all soaked up) SHE tosses in the finely sliced Squid and 'flash' fries it very quickly so that it jurst becomes white, turns heat off, mixes it in thoroughly with the vegetables. Adds / checks seasoning.. heavenly YUMYUM...
Yes, SHE does cook with the ink.. great taste!
One of MY very favourite rhings to eat with rice.. try the RED Camargue Rice with Squid and clams!..
