Ooooh.. I know SHE means well but, oh Dear Readers.. SHE has bought a new and additional perch which has been put into MY sleeping quarters aka cage.
It is supposed to be good for claw nails and ole Beaky.. but it is highly coloured and a bit weird looking.. I am not sure I like it very much. WE Parrots are known to be a bit unsure of 'new & strange things'.. this includes humans as well as objects.
But let us talk about much happier things, like a telephone call from one of HER most beloved friends. Tom Lampson, called from New York yesterday evening.. such a lovely surprise!
One of the reasons he called was about MY Post of The Chicago Gift Show, YOU see, SHE and Tom were introduced to each other by very dear friend written about in that post..
Oh.. and Joanna, it was most certainly true! That Tale has amused a lot of old friends who remember seeing the 'transformation' of Martha from 'grey suited accountant to Carmen Miranda Saleswoman extraordinaire'!
SHE hasn't seen Tom or other dear friends, such as Bob Dundas, Sam Hill and Mario Buatta, who live in the city since November 2007, which was the last time SHE was in New York City.. I heard HER say "planning trip to the States in November".. good lord, MY maman has gone dotty!
From not going anywhere since July 2008, SHE is off to stay with MY greatest fan, Zaira, in Roma in September and now America in November!
That is as long as 'all goes well and according to plan'.. SHE took a call from HER Specialist this morning, he said "the Nuclear Scan will confirm it but we 'think' we know what your problem is" and then he told HER..
No, Beaky is shut.. firmly shut. WE will tell YOU all when it is certain, ie confirmed. Now surgery WILL be involved, so Roma may be put back, SHE lurves Roma in December but one thing is for sure.. when SHE has recuperated from surgery, SHE is going away for a week or two.
Fear not, Dear Readers, I happen to know Aviary has Wi-fi so MY Blog will be posted even if SHE is away from London..
With which Dear Readers, I am off for a snoooze.. SHE is off to do hard work at garden as gardeners have to do.. WE will Post again later.
