'A QUESTION OF BETRAYAL' by ZOE MILLER.. WHAT A GOOD BOOK & GOING TO DO VOLUNTARY WORK.

It's with pleasure that we give you the title and the name of the author whose book she read last night.

The underlying subject is a trifle grim but the book is cleverly written, so she will be off to the library tomorrow to see if they have any more books by Zoe Miller for her to read.

As today was Wednesday, she dressed in 'shop working' clothes, I was packed into my travelling cage and off we went.

And I was greeted extremely warmly, a snug place was made for me in the back office, I was given YumYum and water and settled down to amuse the 'troops'.

A lot of 'telephones' rang and the BBC chimes rang to announce the time several times during the hour, much to the amusement of customers who could see me through the open door.

There is a plot afoot to teach me to say "Are you a UK tax payer, if so, would you like to join the Gift Aid scheme?".. huh, what do you think, more to the point, how long do you think it would take me to learn it, for it is a bit of a Beakful, isn't it?

Yesterday afternoon, we went out for tea, and kind Raja sorted out her laptop keyboard.. yippee! She now has the £ key and everything is where it is supposed to be.

He also installed all manner of anti-virus software and slapped her hand (gently) when he saw how she turned the laptop, off.

She hasn't used a computer for seven years and had completely forgotten that you go through the system to turn the power off, you don't just push the 'ON' key to turn it off.. gulp.

Luckily the system hasn't been damaged but he did done a thorough check to make quite sure that everything was ok.. phew!

It's time for supper, we're having steamed assorted vegetables together with black rice and anchovy fillets on top.

I love anchovies, especially if they're done with garlic and chilli and with a cup of LapsSang, what could be nicer?

And, the good news is that the people in the shop want me there every week! Now, that is much nicer than staying 'home alone' with the radio, isn't it? Infact.. it is veryvery chirpful making, is it not?

Well, we think so. PipPip. Tumtum is rumbling.

GeeGe Parrot.
