Oh yes.. I know this to be true.. no, I don't get pocket money in the form of hard currency so I am, unfortunately, not able to shop. But, hang on a minute, for SHE is far too old to get pocket money and yet SHE shops!
I know this is true because sitting room and hall are both 'occupied' by many garden related purchases in the before mentioned rooms..
And what actually do WE have in here (and there)? Well, YOU know about the currant and rose bushes all waiting to be planted but YOU don't know what SHE dragged home on thursday. MY dear, Dear Readers, two square, white, self watering planters! Ooooh.. SHE has never seen these for sale in this country before.. and they are of a very clever design too!
They are easy to make.. but tricky and they were MUCH cheaper than HER making them HERSELF! This has to be a good thing and they have a very nifty floating water gage which tells the level of water in the reservoir below the bottom of the upper compartment.. keep up there YOU in the back row.. now slouching or goofing off or texting whilst reading MY Blog.. huh, whatever next.
Well, next.. actually are ten sets of very sturdy plant supports, they are perfect for pretty Peonies, in fact, SHE should go back and do a raid on that shop and get more of these splendid things, they won't rot like bamboo. They were exceedingly good value at the price of one penny under a pound. Work it out.
What SHE did NOT bring home, which made a change, was a bare rooted tree! Was SHE ill? I can hear HER several of our friends asking themselves.. SHE saw several at a good price.. infact, the first fruit trees SHE ever planted were from this very shop and they have grown on to be wonderful trees.. two 'Stella' Cherries and a 'Golden Ouillin', which is a Yellow Gage.
Much to do out at the garden, oh, WE do wish it would cheer up.. WE read a lovely Blog called 'DIRT DU JOUR' and that blogger from California writes of perfume from her Mock Orange Bush.. WE have Mock Orange in our garden too but it is not in flower, not even in leaf, hardly in bud! WE are truly envious.. sigh.
Boiled eggs for supper, I lurve them and with half a Pomegranate, what more a parrot want? Not a lot..
Good night Dear Readers, good night.

Well a day, boiled eggs & pomegranate! I say, SHE's always thinking about something you'll enjoy eating. Now be a good parrot and show your appreciation from now on None of this on-the-floor stuff.
