This is going to be a short post, as she has just returned from an evening given by The Friends' of The British Library. All the details about what and whom will be given tomorrow.
She had a happy evening and it was finished off very 'nicely' indeed when a very charming man, to whom she was speaking afterwards, asked her "if she was a Friend of the Library or the guest of one of the Friends?"
She said "I am a Friend, why?".. he smiled and said "because we have a party in the summer for our Friends, I do hope you will come as I look forward to talking with you again".
This was said to her infront of a woman who works for the Library, who heard what he said and smiled. When he had left, she turned to thank the woman for a lovely evening, the woman smiled and said "he is an extremely 'nice' man, (she stressed nice) and I do hope you come."
Cor.. she thought as she gathered up her coat and umbrella and headed for the underground station.
