This fact is on the back label on many household sink and worktop cleaners. Nice no? So when you spray it into your grimy or greasy sinks, rub a cloth or brush around and then wash it down with water.. where do you think it goes?
Down the drain of course and into the water system. And can we quarantee that it won't end up in our rivers or our drinking water? Probably not.
Another example of man's senseless inhumanity to our world.
Why are such chemicals even allowed to be used in household cleaners?
Which brings me onto the question.. why do the makers of cosmetics, body care and household cleaners use powerful chemicals?
They say that SLS - Sodium Lauryl / Laureth Sulphate is not carcinogenic but why would you put a chemical that is used to strip oil out of dirty engines into toothpaste and children's hair shampoo?
Why do it? Well, they say it removes grease and oil quickly and that because it is on the skin for a short length of time, there is no harm.
But the mouth is warm and putting a chemical into your mouth in order to clean your teeth and, of course, you swallow some of it.. just doesn't sit right with us because of the bodies mucus system.
She makes her own toothpowder and the next post will give you, apart from other information, the recipe for this powder which you will love knowing that there isn't one dodgy chemical in it!
Off to do important things.. as Parrots have to do.
