CHRISTIAN DIOR EXHIBITION AT THE V&A MUSEUM.. YESTERDAY'S QUIZ.. SHE DIDN'T DO VERY WELL AT ALL..

In fact, she did badly and shame upon her for she did not know that the oldest public museum in the world is our own most glorious British Museum.

S
he had not the faintest idea why Marlon Brando turned down the role of Laurence of Arabia.. the answer is because he had accepted the role in film Mutiny on The Bounty because the money was better!

And who knew that the origin of these words -
Chav, dinlo, cushti, mush and Wonga - is the Romany language!

She knew:
Three dots of Morse Code stand for S.
The Umbilicus is the navel.
Rice is a grass.
The initials after a MP's name stands for Privy Councillor.
Hitler was born in Austria.
The river Rhone rises in the Swiss Alps.
It's the Canadian Mounties who wear ceremonial red serge.
You can tell a male tortoise from a female by the length of his tail.
It is the Peregrine Falcon who can dive at speeds of up to 200 mph.
And thank goodness.. a few others.. phew.

Last week she was the highest scorer.. this week, she was one from the bottom of eight participants.

Moving swiftly along..

The Christian Dior exhibition opens on Saturday February 2nd at the V&A museum! Yippee and as a member she can slide in and out of it as many times as she likes! However, it's going to be a scrum on the opening day, so she is going to go early on Monday morning.

She worked for Dior in London in1968, 51 years ago! Wow, is she really old enough to have done that, I guess so, for she was born in 1950.

It's a 'trifle chilly' outside and the temperature gauge in the bathroom says it is too cold and that she should turn the heating up, which she is not going to do for we are in bed catching up on the world's news, writing this blog and a few emails.

She's toasty warm in cosy pj's and I'm perched on her head so all is well in our world. But, at some point she'll have to get up and go to the market for fresh vegetables and will come home via the library.

We hope that our friends who live in the USA and whose states are affected by these extreme weather conditions are all safe, for it's truly a monster of a snow and ice storm.

We're off now, she has to make a few telephone calls and I have a few grapes to eat and a box to beak.. pippip.. stay safe.

GeeGee Parrot.
