And what a lovely surprise it was to receive her call, Roy and their son were out doings men's stuff so Ann had had an early supper and then picked up her telephone to have a long chat with mama.
The outcome of which is they've arranged to meet in two weeks time at their favourite place for lunch on Streatham Central, it's a Polish restaurant and serves delicious food!
And she squealed with joy when mama said "Just think Ann, we are 2/3rds way through Winter, so what are you going to grow this year in the way of vegetables?"
Lots to chat about, families to discuss, gardens to plot and plan and she too will come over and go to the Dior exhibition.. what a good thing mama is a member!
We've heard from our dearest Tom in NYC, where it is bitterly cold, he says he is very glad to have his British Military socks for they're keeping his feet warm! We know those socks, she also has a pair for when it is bitter as rubber boots are not warm like leather ones!
February tomorrow.. it is supposed to snow tonight in London and the South East, Ann had a farily big snow fall on Tuesday night but they live way up high on the hills above Streatham, here in central London aka deepest Knightsbridge, we haven't had any, we did have a couple of bitterly cold days last week and one day there was a flurry of sleet when she was in the market, but so far, touch wood, we haven't any of that sneaky white stuff.
The temperature in our bathroom is 15 degrees, which isn't warm but she isn't going to put the heating any higher as our bedroom is deliciously toasty warm, thanks to our upstairs neighbour and people either side of us!
It's bed time for us dollies, we wish you a happy and healthy February, just think March aka Spring will be here in four weeks as of tomorrow!
