WHITE RABBITS & OTHER STRANGE EXPRESSIONS..

Signify the first day of a new month and the 1st of March is the first day of Spring.. oh, yippeeeee!

WE, a lot of other folk and almost certainly all of OUR Dear Readers, are happy to see the last day of winter gone.. whoosh.. awayaway with that old chilly-billy mr.winter.

Note that WE do not write his name with a capital W.. no sirree.. but Spring, ah, Spring is a very different season and springing into Spring is an extremely joyful occasion and today in deepest Knightsbridge I am happy to report, it is a gloriously bright and sunny day.

Spring brings life to Planet Earth.. with the birth of animals and plants. Old Sun, dear old Sun, works his magic upon old Earth and WE all react.

The water levels are dropping, albeit, very slowly in the parts of the country which suffered the most appalling damage from the severe flooding, it has been the wettest winter since records began to be kept in 1766.

The people who were affected by the flooding now have the task of getting their properties back into order. A grim task, for water damage is truly dreadful and they, in the most severe cases, have been flooded since before Christmas.

The River Authorities are going to be asked a lot of questions about the management, or rather the lack of it, of the rivers throughout the country. Particularly as there are huge areas of land which are at sea level but no work has been done of maintaining the sea defences or inland waterways.

Enough. WE could go on and on about this subject and get very cross indeedy.

So instead.. WE say.. "HurrayHurray"..

"Spring has sprung, the sun is 'ris,
I wonder where the birdee is?
People say the bird is on the wing.
But that's absurd, for the wing is on the bird".

FlapFlap Dear Readers, got to go and see Spring.

GeeGee Parrot.
March 1st, 2014.
