Good morning to YOU all.. yes, I do appreciate that some Dear Readers have been awake for several hours but here, in deepest Knightsbridge, it is not yet nine of the morning clock.
We have a charming thing to tell YOU.. WE have a friend who is also a Dear Reader, YOU have read of her before, her name is Pegeen Soare and she lives in Illinois.. where it has been very chilly-billy with a tremendous amount of snow and ice.
She sent HER an email last night about a piano.. which was seen in Chicago's Union (train) Station.
WE know it was there over the Christmas period for, well, YOU watch it and find out why!
The way that this piano 'touched' people was magical.. for that is what the piano appeared to be.. in fact, it was remotely controlled but there are several people of very varied ages who all responded in very different ways to.. ah, that would spoil YOUR fun..
Here are the details.. if YOU enter..

I am sure it will come up..
It reminded HER instantly of the charmingly wacky musical 'Salad Days' by Julian Slade.. it would have been very 'cute' if the piano had been programmed to play one or two of the tunes from that show but it is a very old one.. 1954.. so probably the people, who had the idea to put the piano into the train station, have never heard the music.. which is "very odd but rather gay" to quote a line from one of the tunes.
So WE say a big "Thanks Pegeen for letting US know about this" and an equally very big "Thank you" to Amtrak who organised this joyful thing!
Now I must flap to see if Little Dove is ok and then on and into YumYum HQ to see what's going to break MY fast.
