Halibut wedzony, Makrela wedzona & Chrzan..

Yes, I know that not everyone speaks Polish but then neither does SHE, what SHE does, is love delicious food!

Today was food shopping day and off they went to Streatham, they being HER and old Wheelie.

To Lidl for MY bread, celeriac and shallots. To Bartek Express for some very scrummydumptious Polish food.

Home via Wilkinsons at Fulham Broadway, who stock HER beloved Vim and White Vinegar, then a long walk home as the Fulham Road was closed.

Ugh.. what a walk that was.. wet and very windy.

Bump.. Bump.. Bump.. I heard the sound of old Wheelie coming down the steps, so shook red tail and flew to top of bedroom door.

Oh, hot tea needed immediately, if not sooner.

Hands washed, into YumYum HQ to unpack old Wheelie, kettle on, open chilly white larder for a square jar.

Packets unpacked, plate from cupboard, knife and fork from drawer, ooh, lovely smells wafted past Beaky but from what?

I was lucky, well, I did jump onto HER head, this usually gets HER attention, it prompted HER to put a little from two of the packets onto MY plate.

SHE put the rest onto HER slightly larger plate, the square pot revealed itself to be Horseradish.

Luckily the lovely, lovely staff at Bartek speak very good English and are delighted to sell YOU as little or as much of the wonderful food from their delicatessen counter as YOU would like.

Fillets of Smoked Halibut, Smoked Mackerel & Horseradish, now YOU know what the title meant.

If YOU want something light and tasty to eat, some smoked fish with horseradish is just the thing. Yum indeedy.

GeeGee Parrot.
