Dear Readers, as you know, she is crazy-like-a-fool about Freesias, Lilacs, Peonies and Roses.
Now it does help that she has the space to grow all of these beautiful plants and the early Peony season has just started and oh, heavens-to-Betsy, they are going to be amaazing this year, not a spelling error!
Whoa.. singles of dark Fuchsia Pink with yellow stamens, doubles of the palest Pink, they are all so glorious, she cares not one jot that they are only with us for a short time, for who would want to get 'bored' with a Peony!
She grows a huge mix of the early, middle and late flowering varieties. (But, actually, I don't think we could or would ever be bored with any of these simply breathtakingly beautiful flowers).
There is a bucket of them in a cool place waiting to go upstairs to Tereza, along with a massive amount of dark fuchsia pink and white Geranium plants for all of her window boxes, they will be planted tomorrow morning.
We are just having a late mini snack'et before she does the ironing and puts away the bed linens, until LuLu's visit in late June.
Me? I am off to pole for a doze, for it has been a busy three days with those two cousins a'coming and a'going, why, I am plum tuckered out!
Yawn.. excuse me.
