And the hospital's Dermatology Dept. called her yesterday on the dot of nine of the morning clock to ask her to come in on Friday, May 2nd at two twenty of the afternoon clock.
Wow, that was quick. Which, of course, scared her considerably! But there was no time to dwell on scary things as yesterday was a volunteer work day, she was extra busy because as well as doing her normal chores, lovely boss put her in charge of teaching a 'new' boy.
He has never worked in any form of retail before and has no conception of 'visual'! Not his fault but it will take some time for him to get 'it', he didn't understand about books being tidy on shelves and clothes all hanging the same way.
Then home time came and whom should she bump into on the 14 bus but a dear friend who lives near to us. "Come for tea and meet my brother who is staying with me".. tea, lots of chat, "come out for supper with us as I have not cooked anything" said Myra.
"Let me go home and feed GeeGee and change my jacket, I'll be back at eight o'clock" she said and
zoomed home. An early supper and early bed is what happened to me last night and I was so surprised that I didn't even put up any fuss!
She collected a book to give to Myra and took some roses that she had picked from the garden out of a vase, picked up a thicker jacket and left the house.
They ate at Maroush, a Lebanese restaurant in Beauchamp Place, yumyum! Her diet went out of the window but at least she was sensible enough to resist the platter of delicious fruit which the owner brought to the table after their meal.
So Friday she will be at the hospital, then home to help Tereza do the Tulips, then on Saturday Myra and she are off on a jaunt to the Homebase store on the Warwick Road. In Myra's garden there is an empty terracotta pot, which would be the perfect home for a Camellia and several big window boxes need to be done.
Whoops, is that the time, she must fly as she has to be at Seven Sisters at midday to see Carolyn.
Her appointment is booked, bless her new GP, she must have put a rocket under someone's seat to get one so quickly and being busy does not allow one's mind or imagination to play evil tricks.
PipPip Dear Readers. PipPip. Don't forget to say "Hurray, hurray, it's the First of May".
