CRAB CLAWS, SKEWER & OLE BEAKY..

Dear Reader..

How I feel for those people who do not like food, oh, ears and feathers, apart from different tastes of SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS magnitude.. what fun they miss!

I told YOU yesterday that SHE came home with two Native Crabs in old Wicker. SHE cooked them before going to see film. So tonight they were ready to eat. SHE made delicious sauce of egg, oil, mustard, pepper, bit of rough salt, chilli flakes, chopped spring onion, into this SHE tipped panload of boiled baby potatoes. Heat from potatoes cooks sauce. I LURVE the way SHE cooks this dish.

And a salad of Raddiccichio, Chicory, Rocket and DandyLion leaves, mustardy vinaigrette.

Thick wooden board, metal steel for thumping claws, SHE uses skewer for getting at meat, I have own personal meat-picker-out-of-claw, aka Beak. WE were ready. SHE had roll of paper towel and wet cloth for Beak.. otherwise, SHE knows that I will jump on HER head and try to wipe Beak on HER hair.. and go straight into disgrace.. heehee, worth trying!

What fun WE had, eating Crab should always be done at home, no fancy manners, jurst lots to eat, proper lubbly-jubbly food, YOU pick and scratch, out it comes, inside big shell is brown and white meat..

Natives are so sweet, only Crab that beats Natives is Cornish Spider, now, that is perfection, those norty Spanish, they buy them in bulk.. very difficult to find Cornish Spiders, have to be at Billingsgate early, very early to find them.

But back to eating OUR supper tonight. Takes time to eat Crab properly, WE had lots of time and lots to eat. All YOU need with Crab are baby 'tatties' with bit of salad to clean palate.

SHE will be in market Saturday morning and will put nose in to say "Thank You" to Fishmonger, SHE thinks highly of him, even though SHE teases him about his bags of over priced Clams!

Friday SHE and BiBi dearest are off on jaunt, if weather looks fine, they are going to see the exhibition of Lely's paintings at Hampton Court Palace but weather forecast is grim and grizzly weather, so it will probably be trip to newly done Kensington Palace and lunch at Stick & Bowl in Kensington High Street.

Either way, it will be happy day, who cares if weather is grim if YOU have warm tummy full of Chinese yumyum and lovely things to look at. Not these two, that is for sure!

GeeGee Parrot.
