Good morning, it is not as warm as yesterday but above zero degrees which is good!
SHE is going to plant a 'Sunburst' Cherry Tree today.. I can hear YOU all thinking "hang on, SHE goes to Studio on Friday, what is going on?". No, SHE doesn't go to Studio any longer and Beak is sealed.
This week SHE has been busy with medical appointments, friends and home. SHE changes colours from autumn / winter to spring / summer and SHE decided that, as Spring had Sprung, it was time to do changeover.
There SHE was, wobbling about on top of step ladder, fitting 'Blue' blind into support holes, I watched, at safe distance, and thought to self "WHY doesn't SHE ask The Wizard to help HER?". But SHE did it.. tricky job as window is very wide.
Now room is bright with Blue & White accents against Imperial Yellow walls.
SHE made Whooosh noise, not especially for ME, I hasten to add, SHE had to do ironing, WE had music playing and ole Steam Iron steaming, SHE uses Lavender Water on linen, room smelt SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS, ironing was ironed and WE bopped about, if Truth were told, Truth should be always be told, so I must confess lot of Tom-Fool-Lery went on.. SHE has smiley look on face, thank goodness.
Back to Cherry Tree, tree's toes are soaking in bucket of water, little tree travelled 'bare rooted' and looked dry when it arrived, soaking toes is a good thing to do. Poor little tree, WE are a little scared that it is so dry at the Allotments and it will not have happy start to life with US. SHE has jurst said that SHE may 'heel' it into a big pot here and then take pot to Allotment when water pipes are turned on.
SHE has been very disrespectful for past few days, SHE has smiley face, as I said earlier and is behaving in cheeky fashion! I have found SELF upside down being kissed on stomach and HER nose investigating back of neck, very norty behaviour from someone who should know better.. as YOU all know, SHE is a Pensioner but HER behaviour this week has been of some other age, this is is the only way that I can describe it.. without HER taking offence!
AND WE certainly do not want THAT to happen.. for SHE inherited Constance's BLACK BOOK... I found SELF jurst about to be written in to it today. I had climbed up onto pot rack above stove, clambered over pots and steamers and onto top of cupboard, I have never been there before and what do I find? Ummm, plates hanging on wall, how was I to know they were valuable?
Anyway, I suddenly found SELF no longer there! How SHE e-lon-gated HERSELF in order to get ME down.. I will never know.. Finger was wagged in front of Beak, I thought it best not to excercise Beak to munch or nip finger, MY Parrot Brain does work sometimes and thank goodness, it worked today.
And because nothing ghastly happened and SHE does not bear grudges or allow things to fester in HER brain, I am having snacket of favourite Bread.. Sunflower with dark Rye... delicious! SHE is going to take packets to BiBi dearest with whom SHE is having an early supper tomorrow.
They had cheap and cheerful lunch yesterday, SHE returned home afterwards smelling 'faintly' of Chilli, I BET SHE had Singapore Rice Noodles! As I wrote in previous post, YOU can take Gurl out of Malaya but YOU can't take Malaya out of Gurl. Yes, I know Singapore is not in Malaysia but give ME a break! I am an African Grey Parrot! HeeHee but TRUE!
WE're off, emails to write, people to see, places to go, parcel to post at Posty Office, such nice people, they take bulky parcel, it goes zoom and lands other end! Magic!
And last but certainly NOT least.. old Wicker Trolley has to be 'rescued' from the Trinity Hospice Shop, Lynne and SHE went straight to Cinema from Shop, ole Wicker didn't get to see filmum, poor ole Wicker down in shop basement, has to be rescued and taken on jaunt to Lidl and North End Market, where SHE will see Carol, purveyor of most excellent vegetables and Kaza, who sells US beautiful SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS fruit.
Please make sure that YOU enjoy YOUR day. Only SIX degrees, the same temperature as when WE woke up this morning, bbbbrrr, come along ole Sun, buck up and burn up mist, what are all those Brass Monkeys doing here?
GeeGee Parrot.
March 2nd, 2012.
