DRINKING TASTY MASALA CHAI AT BOROUGH, THEN COMING OUT IN LUMPS & BUMPS!

Oh, a pox on her allergic sensitivities to foods! For what could have been nicer than chatting to friends on Friday afternoon, cosy and warm in Old Rabbit with a hot mug of tasty tea in her hands? But later that evening, she started to feel 'unwell' and my goodness me, the skin on her inner thighs was ichy and then from itches, they suddenly developed into hives!

She swore "Damn and blast" and lots of other words far too impolite to write on my blog or anywhere else come to think about it! "Wretched Cinnamon.. of course, it is a major ingredient of masala chai". Oh dear, another lovely thing that she can't have unless she brews it herself at home using Darjeeling tea with green cardamon, fennel seeds, ginger and black pepper.

She thought it was just her that had this reaction to this spice but apparently Cinnamon can have very severe repercussions for those who are allergic to it, who knew, she certainly didn't as she had never shown signs of being allergic to it before. Baked apples with saltanas won't ever be the same without a sprinkling of powdered cinnamon, that's for sure!

We woke up to brilliant sunlight! But grey clouds have come scudding across the sky and it has gone dull and gloomy, the odd skinny ray of light comes through now and again but she isn't getting too excited about it, there is work to be done at home and as the forecast is for heavy rain, why take a chance when she has to travel for an hour only to get drenched.

No, house work will be done plus a trip to the library and we'll have a late lunch. Then I'll post on Alex Howard, the author of two books she has recently read and enjoyed.. even if they were seriously scary!

Enjoy your Sunday wherever you are.
