BLACK, RED & WHITE CURRANTS & PLANS FOR A SOLAR GREENHOUSE.

Good day to YOU, Dear Reader.

SHE saw sunlight yesterday afternoon! Yippee..

And, there were several very large patches of blue sky, pale but blue! SHE thought "just in time for Spring Equinox, maybe gardening work can commence".

FAT CHANCE.. WE woke up to another very cold and wet day, there is no point in even thinking of going out there. Everything is tidy, but pretty much still fast asleep, the Narcissi are only growing very slowly.

The flower and leaf buds on the fruit trees are all firmly curled up with the exception of one fruit tree!

A little 'Sonesta' Plum.. who only dropped half of her leaves last autumn, the other half, not all on one side, are all still there and as green as can be!

What a daft tree, the bald half is covered with fat fruit and leaf buds, so it will be interesting to see how it grows this year.

The assorted Currant bushes that were planted three years ago have settled in well and look good with lots of new growth, SHE is increasing to their quantity by adding an extra four of both Black and Red varieties and is on the hunt for more White ones.

SHE has to find that plastics company with whom SHE spoke last year. The site is far too exposed to even think about using glass. This is for the Solar Greenhouse that SHE plans to build.. after the plot has been cleared! It has to face due south in order to reap the full benefit of this design of 'glass' house.

But SHE has to get out and about so WE will post more on Solar Greenhouses when SHE gets back.

I will snooze, SHE will run errands, a fair division of labour.

GeeGee Parrot.
