Dear Reader..
How I feel for those people who do not like food, oh, ears and feathers, apart from different tastes of SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS magnitude.. what fun they miss!
I told YOU yesterday that SHE came home with two Native Crabs in old Wicker. SHE cooked them before going to see film. So tonight they were ready to eat. SHE made delicious sauce of egg, oil, mustard, pepper, bit of rough salt, chilli flakes, chopped spring onion, into this SHE tipped panload of boiled baby potatoes. Heat from potatoes cooks sauce. I LURVE the way SHE cooks this dish.
And a salad of Raddiccichio, Chicory, Rocket and DandyLion leaves, mustardy vinaigrette.
Thick wooden board, metal steel for thumping claws, SHE uses skewer for getting at meat, I have own personal meat-picker-out-of-claw, aka Beak. WE were ready. SHE had roll of paper towel and wet cloth for Beak.. otherwise, SHE knows that I will jump on HER head and try to wipe Beak on HER hair.. and go straight into disgrace.. heehee, worth trying!
What fun WE had, eating Crab should always be done at home, no fancy manners, jurst lots to eat, proper lubbly-jubbly food, YOU pick and scratch, out it comes, inside big shell is brown and white meat..
Natives are so sweet, only Crab that beats Natives is Cornish Spider, now, that is perfection, those norty Spanish, they buy them in bulk.. very difficult to find Cornish Spiders, have to be at Billingsgate early, very early to find them.
But back to eating OUR supper tonight. Takes time to eat Crab properly, WE had lots of time and lots to eat. All YOU need with Crab are baby 'tatties' with bit of salad to clean palate.
SHE will be in market Saturday morning and will put nose in to say "Thank You" to Fishmonger, SHE thinks highly of him, even though SHE teases him about his bags of over priced Clams!
Friday SHE and BiBi dearest are off on jaunt, if weather looks fine, they are going to see the exhibition of Lely's paintings at Hampton Court Palace but weather forecast is grim and grizzly weather, so it will probably be trip to newly done Kensington Palace and lunch at Stick & Bowl in Kensington High Street.
Either way, it will be happy day, who cares if weather is grim if YOU have warm tummy full of Chinese yumyum and lovely things to look at. Not these two, that is for sure!

CHILLI AND ROSEBUD..
Greetings Dear Reader.
April Showers.. I know WE haven't had them for past two years but here in south of England newspapers are squeaking and carrying on in ridiculous fashion.. as if end is nigh.. rubbish.. it should rain in April, otherwise, HOW are our fruit and vegetables supposed to grow?
SHE is potting up seedlings and putting them outside, poor things, they are in for shock after being in kitchen but it has to happen before SHE plants them at allotment.. it is called 'hardening off' and that is what it does, toughens plants up before they have their toes put into real world.
Talking about 'real world', SHE sometimes wonders where some people live! That person who SHE did favour for has STILL not said "thank you", SHE realised that they don't intend to. Let them work out what SHE has done.. being taken for granted is something SHE is mighty bored with.. HER friends do not treat HER like this.
SHE and I are going to Sheffield mid May to stay with Debi, this will be fun! WE will meet Stephanie, Debi's friend who wears blue uniform.. yes, policewoman! I shall have to practise best manners, NO Bad Bat Behaviour in Yorkshire, oh no. I think I shall do plenty of please, thank you and whistle a happy tune.. MURST not let Aunt Debi down.
I told YOU yesterday SHE went to market and brought yumyum home.. what I didn't tell YOU that WE have two Native Crabs in fridge.. this was because I did not want dreadful rush of HER friends coming down stairs before SHE went to cinema.. Yup, two Native Crabs.. yub-a-dub-a-doo, were cooked and are in bottom of fridge.
Oh, how I LURVE Crab, SHE will make egg sauce with spring onion, mustard and olive oil and together with bowl of baby potatoes, WE will have such SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS supper tonight.
And talking of scrummy supper, last night SHE had delicious Chinese food before film. Mister Chef was on his very BEST form, Singapore Noodles were absolute perfection, as was plate of mixed vegetables.. yes, yes, with plenty of HOT Chilli Oil and very large pot of tea.
Then off SHE 'waddled' to sit in comfy seat and watch 'Citizen Kane'..
Do YOU remember what / who 'Rosebud' was, Dear Reader?

THE SATURDAY TELEGRAPH... Financial Pages.
Hello Dear Reader.. I trust all is well in your world? What a day, WE have had wild weather here today.. hail and rain storms, then brilliant sun but oh, very ChillyBilly... bbrrrr.
WE heard Debi-in-Sheffield has not received package that SHE sent Saturday 1st Class to arrive before 1pm yesterday.. huh, postman probably walking to Yorkshire.. what IS matter with Post these days? SHE is still waiting for letter sent from America on April 4th! It is now April 17th for goodness sake.. disgraceful..
What a busy day and 7pm is HER time to catch ole friend number 19 bus to eat Chinese yumyum and see 'Citizen Kane' with Orson Welles.. best deal in town.. comfy cinema seats.. £4.00!
Morning trip to market with ole Wicker Trolley means WE have delicious things in yumyum HQ. SHE came back and sorted desk drawers, was ruthless with papers, checked if important, mostly not, mostly out of date.. Mr. Shredder shredded. SHE swears papers rub together and have babies.. Norty papers.
Hanging above desk is picture, go to 1st Post of 2012 on MY Blog to read Cartoon and Mysterious Man in which I wrote there were 2 Cartoons, this Tale relates to laminated newspaper cutting tucked into picture frame.
Back in 1997 SHE had friend called Pilot, those of YOU, Dear Reader, who have read all of MY Blog will remember that he has featured in a couple of posts. On HER birthday, 7th July, Pilot and SHE dined in Greek restaurant run by old friend of HERS up on Moscow Road.
Whole evening exceedingly jolly, Pilot and SHE were leaving next day on looong trip, so before it got tooo late, he made signal at waiter and asked for bill so they could pay and leave..
NO bill came.. more signalling.. still no bill.. SHE smiled, turned to man who had jurst sat down besides HER on banquette and asked to see his menu. Then asked Pilot for his mobile.
Remember this was 1997, mobiles were not small like now but Pilot had latest, all singing, all dancing Nokia...
Pilot gave HER Nokia, SHE flipped it open, quickly typed something on keypad, pressed series of numbers.. restaurant telephone rang, then noise changed.. to another signal.. SHE pressed button.. shut Nokia, gave it back to Pilot..
The man sitting beside HER got 'it' immediately and started to laugh and said to HER.. "I draw a Cartoon in the City pages of The Daily Telegraph, may I have your permission to draw this?". SHE laughed and said "of course you may".. Pilot, nice man, but a bit slow sometimes, asked what was going on, Cartoonist said "I think you will find your bill coming any minute.. your friend just faxed restaurant".
And sure enough, standing behind the bar, laughing with tears streaming down his face, was HER old friend Georgiou reading HER fax.
HER Cartoon appeared in The Saturday Telegraph, Financial Section. July 19th, 1997.
Pilot sent it to HER, dedicated with 'For being the original from which Cartoons are drawn'.

Wash and Go or Salon Blowdry?
Hello Dear Reader.
ChillyBilly... From being an 'ok day' weather wise, the sky has darkened and it is raining.
So I am exceeding glad that I have two layers of feathers, top layer which YOU see and MY 'secret' layer underneath.. all white and soft as thistle down. YOU see these two layers trap air between them which mean that I am always snugly-buggly warm. However, they take looonng time to dry.
YOU all know MY daft habit of jumping into water bowl when blood is up and wind under tail and after such a splendid game of Bad Bat Behaviour this morning in yumyum HQ, I was thinking of jumping in, but SHE thought whilst waiting for Tom to call, SHE would give ME bath.... gulp!
Kitchen sink cleaned and sterilised.. warm water run and before I had sense to fly out of kitchen, SHE picked ME up and plopped ME into water! Well.. at least no one was here to see BIG fuss that I began to make.. until I realised.. hang on.. wait a minute.. this is rather nice, water warm, spray spraying over Beak and head.. directed over wings, under tail.. I LIKE this.. all very pleasant.
Then lifted out and given very gentle rub-dub-dub with fluffy towel. Now, usually when I climb out of water bowl I have wet legs and chest and I do admit to feeling clammy and dismal but Ho Ho Ho.. what is this, where are WE going?
Oh, Heavens-to-Betsy, bathroom, HAIRDRYER.. ooooh, MY favourite thing!
Makes delicious warm air flow through feathers, soon I am ravishing, even though I say it MYSELF! Feathers dry, Beak as black as Raven's wing, Tail as red as HER best lipstick!
No Salon or Spa could make ME look more chic.. for Yumyum HQ is fine 'Salon' and SHE does a 'mean' Feather Blowdry.

WICKED WINDS OF THE WEST...
Hello and good day to YOU all.
SHE and I are very busy...
I am keeping HER entertained by practising Bad Bat Behaviour, this is great game which involves ME hanging upside down off MY triangular perch in yumyum HQ, aka kitchen, trying to contact with any part of HER... heehee... I MURST say that SHE is almost as good at game as I am, SHE scored several points off ME today, note to self, must try harder.
SHE is starting off seeds at home, soaked to quicken up process, WE have trays of pots with strange leaves a'growing, they will turn into bean plants, WE eat lots of different varieties of beans, each year SHE lets some dry on the frame and uses them for next season.
Also growing are Cardoons... Oooh, how I LURVE them! BIG treat is a stem to nibble on, truly SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS. I also like Lovage, SHE is generous and kind with what SHE feeds me, I doubt very much if many Parrots snack on Cardoons and Lovage.
The mood in our home is mixed today, on one hand SHE is very happy.. SHE spoke with
Debi-in-Sheffield and Debi sounded.. oh, so much happier! Norty pain gone away, she slept well and is planning to bathe, then go out and about on her new mobility scooter.
Everyone takes good health for granted.. one does not think of the act of getting in and out of bath, not until your spine goes 'mental' as Debi calls it and you can't lift your legs up over bath, let alone sit down or get up without assistance.
It is a day with all sorts of different types of weather.. cloud, sun, calm, wind.
On other hand SHE is very sad.. BAD news from America... of deadly Tornadoes.
YOU must have head in sand or be fast asleep if you haven't heard or seen what happened there yesterday. Those poor people, homes destroyed, lives lost. SHE emailed Moley yesterday, she lives in Arkansas, to ask her if she was ok, she replied that she has a so-called 'safe room' in the centre of her house, it has water, torches, fully charged cellphone, battery powered radio, some food and no exterior walls or windows so she would be safe from flying glass. SHE emailed Suzan this morning wanting to hear that she is ok.
We have them in England also but not to same degree as America.
SHE had one at garden in 2005. It was windy day so SHE left me at home and went off wearing weatherproof clothing. HER plots back onto an enormous acreage of open land, SHE was 'chewing the fat' with Irish Jo, when he said in horror "look" and coming straight towards them was twisting tornado, they hit ground, rolled under fat hedge and held on to posts.
The noise was horrendous, tornado hit back extension of Little Shed, twisted walls and wrenched entire roof off, this flew with wind and crashed less than a metre from where they were lying under hedge.
The power of these monstrous devils is awesome beyond belief, they hold no respect for brick, steel, they lift a truck up as if it were a Dinky toy. SHE is a gardener and knows about 'weather', truly these freaks of rain and wind are scary beyond belief.
HER heart is sad for all those families and SHE prays for safety of beloved friends.

PRETTY LADIES ALL IN BLUE..
Off with their heads! Sack the whole department...
Dear Reader.. The online weather report AND the newspaper both forecasted bbbrrrrr, cold weather with rain.. and WHAT have WE got outside OUR front door? A bright and sunny day. Huh, how much do WE pay these people and which dodgy place did they go to learn how to read the weather satellite maps?
Never mind, moving swiftly along, at least WE have immaculately tidy home and SHE has scrub-a-dub-dubbed the outside steps and courtyard with soda, all the algae has gone off steps, they are now clean and free from dirt. SHE swept up leaves, tied climbing Apricot coloured Rose to wall with Raffia and pruned off dead twigs from Fig.. happy Fig who is wide awake with a huge amount of baby Figlets and lots and lots of very small bright green leaves.. not like all those very norty Figs at garden who are all still faassst asleep.
Fig, at home, lives in old wooden barrel, Fig has a deliciously pretty Rose for company but she grows in her own pot, SHE had Climbing Geraniums growing in Fig barrel but they died.. sad .. about two years ago and SHE did not replace them.
But somebody must have thought that Fig was lonely... and secretly dropped into earth some seeds... for guess who is living with Fig in barrel?
First of all, SHE noticed long, skinny green leaves, then tall spike appeared with buds.. "gggrrrr", SHE said to herself "norty women, I will dig them up when they have finished flowering", YOU see SHE thought that they were Spanish Bluebells who stand tall but do not have any scent.
But today, when SHE was pruning twigs off Fig, SHE saw to HER joy... No, not foreign ladies but English Bluebells, yes, Dear Reader, they have bowed their pretty heads and smell divine!
SHE says "Thank you very much" to kind bird who thought Fig was lonely.
This brings ME back to people who do not say those elusive words.. SHE and BiBi dearest spoke this morning, SHE told BIBi dearest whole Tale of person who wanted HER to do something for them and SHE wrote back telling them that WE had already done this on MY Blog and SHE posted the link.
I mean, Dear Reader, YOU live all over the world, I have Dear Reader in America, Australia & Austria, Bosnia & Brazil, Canada & China, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece & Guernsey, Hungary, India & Italy, Japan, Lima, Isle of Man & Mexico, Norway, Oman, Russia, lots of YOU in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain & Sudan, Turkey, Ukraine & United Arab Emirates, Wales.. and all the other countries where YOU are.. WHAT, I ask of YOU could or would get better exposure than YOU lot who read MY Blog most days?
BiBi dearest's reply was "that familiarity breeds contempt".. and YOU know what, she is right, clever BiBi dearest, for that is exactly what it is. Interesting how people show their true agenda without realising it.
SHE spoke to Debi-in-Sheffield briefly this morning, but Debi not having a great day.. chilly in Sheffield and so she was going to have a quiet day and 'go easy'.. sigh. Bad pain, WE think it should pack bag and leave Debi's house immediately, if not sooner.
I know what WE are having for supper... yub-a-dub-dub.. Spanish Tortilla.. OLE! Has to be, SHE has big pan on stove full with onions, garlic and potatoes cooking and bowl of lubbly-jubbly eggs is on the counter..
What do YOU do Dear Reader if someone gives you a 'Lemon'.... Well, YOU make Lemonade!
For instead of moping and saying "I could have gone to garden", SHE cleaned home inside and out, found pretty, obviously very shy English Ladies, for why else do they bow their heads, typed MY Blog and WE have Tortilla for supper... hop-diggetty-dog!

FOODLE THE DOODLE...
HUH...
Well, Dear Reader, those poor old Brass Monkeys... WE are sad to report ole Jack Frost is back, the bad lad is scattering his icy ice and frosty stuff about. HER Orange trees don't like it a bit, that is for sure! Since SHE moved them back into courtyard after spending their cosy winter inside, they have become used to light and a bit of warmth on their leaves and blossoms are starting to show. Have YOU ever smelt Orange blossom? It is one of the 'fairest' scents of all.
But SHE has clever trick up sleeve. To stop ole Jack spitting his icy ice on HER beloved trees, SHE is going to make drawstrings bags out of nylon mesh, then trees will be safe outside on window ledge.
SHE is vastly amused... poor thing, between YOU, ME and front door, SHE does have a weird sense of humour! SHE received a request last week to do something... with no question of how SHE found it to be or anything like that, SHE responded by saying "WE had already done what you wanted a long time ago by writing about it on GeeGee's Blog" and jurst incase the person was not clever enough to find MY Blog, SHE attached the link.
Since then... zilch, nothing, nada, nienti, rien... and certainly 'nothing' like "thank you" and every day that goes by without these elusive two words being said, the funnier SHE thinks it is, there really is NO accounting for HER taste in humour, in the southern states of America they would say "Bless HER heart"..
And, SHE received a message late last Tuesday night from someone who was known as 'Lovely Assistant' from Studio days, he wrote of being hectic and how was I? Yawn, SHE has never been one to be interested in knowing about chaos and confusion. WE have other things on mind now.
And indeed WE do...
For SHE Is truly Hugo's daughter and has nose into books, big fat research books, HER 'evil eye look' is cast upon ME if I even venture to cast a look at these hard backed books lying 'unprotected' as it were on bed.. oh, BIG smack on beak would happen if I was stupid enough to beak, nibble or munch one of these books.
SHE reads in bed, really best place, it has clever light which swivels out from wall, fat pillows and bed-head, table, flask and ME sitting on HER head to keep it warm.. for surely temperature has dropped considerably.. three weeks ago, SHE was gardening in shorts and a sleeveless t.shirt.
But tonight all is cosy and peaceful, WE had truly SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS supper of pasta and chicken soup, with some sweet corn and carrots, hot and tasty it was as SHE added chilli flakes and ginger oil. Oh, I LURVE chicken and pasta. WE are jurst like Jack Sprat and his wife in this house, SHE drinks the soup and I scoff the bits! Such a treat on a cold, damp April evening.
Now SHE has had nose in book and ME dozing on HER head, SHE has typed MY Blog, it is past midnight.. any minute now SHE will raise a hand and I will have to jet propel myself onto top of cupboard.. for it is the dreaded hour.. aka 'bedtime'... I know, I know YOU know, I stick wing up, I am nearly eight years old, almost a grown up but I still don't like going to bed.. sigh.
But B-E-D time it is.. sleep well everyone, except for Rosamund who is probably preparing to have Sunday lunch with her grandchildren down under in Australia, "gudday" Ros.

April 15th, 2012.
PRINCE DIMITRI TCHKOTOUA et LES GABONS GRIS..
Hello Dear Reader.
I know.. YOU all think I am an idle African Grey Parrot and I am going to surprise YOU all by sticking MY wing up and admitting to being guilty as charged. For SHE has been busy with whatever it is that humans get busy with and I have jurst been lolling about, but give ME a break, it was Easter, after all!
OH.. remember those Easter Eggs SHE lost? Well, SHE found them, they were in bag hanging on back of kitchen door under some dry cleaning... heheheeee... How daft can SHE be.
SHE went to Balham today to get beloved Goaty milk from Debbie, aka Ellie of Ellie's Dairy, this time SHE went by a different route, SHE hopped onto an overland train at Clapham Junction and two stops later.. there was Balham! Much quicker than disappearing down a hole in ground that they call Underground, this way took five minutes!
Then SHE jumped, well, not jumped but SHE got back on train, off at Clapham Junction and bought MY bread, then home on bus.. with 8 pints of white stuff.. SHE told Debbie that SHE thinks there are holes in the bottles, how else does it disappear so quickly? Myself, well, I think reason is those BIG mugs of hot, yummy chocolate and coffee!
Anyway, with what was already in freezer, there are now eleven pints which should see us through the next two weeks and keep awful Mister. Woe out of our kitchen.
Recently a couple of people have asked HER how SHE chose MY name. The name came to HER in 1998. I know, years before I was born, here is Tale of how MY name came to be.
Those of YOU, Dear Reader, who have read all of the previous posts on MY Blog will recall Tale of an English Duke and a Georgian Prince.
Prince Charles, the Georgian Prince and Helena, his wife, left London and went to live in Spain, their daughter Cristina became engaged and wedding was to be in September of 1998 in the old church in Marbella.
From all over the world there gathered a huge group of family and friends to celebrate the wedding of the charming young couple. SHE, Sandy (bridegroom), Cristina's brother Chalva and Shannon, his fiancé stayed in a little house close-by to Cristina's parents. And staying in Marbella were the bride's favourite Uncle and his wife, Prince Dimitri and Princess Marie-Laure.
One day, before the wedding, the family and friends were at a big barbecue and Shannon asked HER "where does Dagga stay when you go away", SHE explained that there was an aviary in Kensington who took in birds as 'boarders' and Dimitri asked HER "What type of bird do you have?", SHE reached into HER bag and passed him a photo of Dagga-the-Parrot, well, I am sure YOU have a photo of YOUR children in your wallet, and he said "mon dieu, un Gabon Gris", and SHE said "GeeGee would be a such a lovely name for a female African Grey Parrot if I ever got one" and thought no more about it.
No, Tale of Dagga-the-Parrot' death too sad to tell today, suffice to say HE died in 2004, on the third anniversary of 9/11, and in October of that year SHE came to Shropshire to where I was living with MY breeder and I chose HER to be MY Human.
Rebecca and SHE came to the viewing aviary where I was with two other baby African Grey Parrots, SHE put HER hand out, boy Parrot didn't even bother to stop scratching his nape, my friend, other girl sniffed HER out stretched hand but turned away, ME, I looked at HER face and threw MYSELF on HER shoulder, Rebecca roared with laughter and said "there is no doubt that YOU are the person whom this baby wants and I am not sure but I think that it is a female".
And suddenly SHE was back in Spain hearing Prince Dimitri's voice saying "mon Dieu, un Gabon Gris". SHE smiled at Rebecca and said "And HER name is GeeGee".

Rainy days and the Green Stuff is a'growing!
Woooh... Hello Dear Reader.
WELL, here in deepest Knightsbridge, WE are snug as bugs in rugs, now this is a very good place to be as outside has been very wet, wild and windy, there has been no gardening for HER this Easter Holiday. I hope YOU didn't have plans to do gardening if YOU live in the UK, as I gather it was more of the same everywhere.
Despite rainy weather, it has been a pleasant few days, SHE had an early supper with BiBi dearest on Friday, went through the market on Saturday, tried to barter with HER Fishmonger but he wasn't in the mood, SHE only took a kilo of Mussels and told him that he would still have his over priced Clams on Tuesday but that they would be dead, he then looked very concerned, SHE left laughing and went next door into HER lubbly jubbly Butcher where SHE bought a boned and rolled shoulder of Pork.. delicious it was too! Yes Joanna, cooked with plenty of Sage!
Vegetables from Carol and some fruit from Geoff's Sally. Back home to empty ole Wicker Trolley and off to Library to borrow books.
Back home to tea.. yumYUM.. Lapsang with a slice of Rye and Sunflower, oooooh, SHE surely knows the way straight to MY heart.. through MY tummy! Lots of Goaty Milk in freezer as Debbie, purveyor of Ellie's Goat Milk, is at Wye Farmer's Market this weekend, so there is NO chance of Mister Woe tumbling down OUR steps.
SHE is looking at this dismal weather and has a big happy smile, rain is a'raining, this is exceedingly good news for everything growing at the garden, especially Asparagus! During the sunny spell WE had in March, SHE hand weeded big Asparagus bed on hands and knees, a very boring and time consuming job as it has to be done by fingers only as YOU don't want to damage the baby spears. WE need a lot of rain to get down to all those poor dry roots.
When SHE does the first big pick of this delicious green spikey stuff, SHE and I have a date to go to supper with Leigh and Ossie, the threat is that the menu will be Stuffed Parrot and Roast Cat, they have two. Leigh is as passionate about Feline people as SHE is about Avian folk. So 'menu' is a joke, well, I hope it is a joke?
SHE has lots and lots of work at garden, one plot was fallow last year, this has to be dug and planted up, SHE has to mulch fruit, rose trees and the vines but the next ten days it looks as if it will be wet.. goody, this means I won't be 'Home Alone', well, not every day.
SHE is in 'culture-vulture' mood and after half term, when the children have gone back to school, SHE wants to see the new exhibition of, mostly, Peter Lely's portraits, they are on view at Hampton Court Palace, SHE has a clever pass for a year that allows HER to go and take a friend to visit several of the Royal Palaces. BiBi dearest is going with HER to look at the Lely's. They are of the Ladies of King Charles 2nd Court, mostly women he had babies with!! He was a very norty man... he had lots and lots of babies!
And Kensington Palace has had a make over, it has new exhibitions, good stuff to look at on rainy days! And there is always something wonderful to see at Kew, in fact, SHE thinks London is a marvellous city if YOU want to look and learn about all sorts of marvellous things.
The other place SHE wants to revisit is Greenwich, especially SHE wants to see the house that was started by Anne of Denmark, the mother of Charles 1st, this beautiful house was the first classical house to be built in England, designed by Inigo Ones, it is white and was nicknamed The White House. It was then used by both Queen Henrietta-Maria and Queen Catherine of Braganza.
So life is pleasant, SHE called and friends HER called over the weekend to exchange "Happy Easter" greetings. And SHE had the very best surprise call from a friend called Susan, who has been away for many months in Denmark looking after her brother, they made a date to have supper and do a BIG catch up on April 24th, Susan makes BISCUITS.. the most SCRUMMYDUMPTIOUS biscuits, oh my ears and feathers, topped in chopped nuts!
I can't eat chocolate as it is not good for Parrots but I could have made a lovely mess with all those little bits of shiny paper!! The only trouble is.. SHE hid the bag of eggs and has not found them! Heheheeee, fancy hiding a bag of Easter Eggs from yourself!
Supper is calling.. cold roast meat, steamed carrots, salad of Radicchicio. Did YOU know that as YOU get older YOU should eat things that increase the production of bile, this helps break down YOUR food, as humans get older, the weakening of bile causes digestive problems, that is why, in this house, WE eat Dandylion, Sorrel, Endive and Radicchicio leaves.
Off WE go Dear Reader, WE hope that YOU have had a pleasant time like US and have spent time doing things that YOU wanted to do, rather than what YOU felt YOU should be doing?

PETER PIGEON & HIS BEAUTIFUL MALAY FRIEND.
Good afternoon Dear Reader.
Oh dear.. What a very sad and sombre week it has been.
Last Sunday SHE went to collect Goaty milk from Debbie, aka Ellie of Ellie's Dairy, at Parson's Green Farmer's Market. They both got very 'wet-eyed' at the thought of little Hugo who had died very early that morning, then Debbie had more sad news, David had rung her to say that Hugo's brother had died whilst she was driving to the market. This meant that out of the three kids only their little sister was still alive.. oh dear.
Hugo was exactly four weeks old when he died, it IS strange how some animals and people slowly wiggle their way into your heart, but NOT Hugo, with his short little legs, he jumped straight into Debbie's and HER hearts, as if he knew he was only going to be 'here' for a very sort time and he wasn't going to waste a minute!
Another 'person' who jumped straight into HER heart was Peter Pigeon.
If YOU have read all MY previous posts, Then YOU will know how SHE found him and the fact he never flew, this Tale happened in 1995 when Peter Pigeon was five years old.
SHE, as you know, was born in Malaya (as it was then called) and Jean, HER God Mother, gave HER a doll when SHE was three years old, doll was called Janni. Now Janni was a very unusual doll in the fact that she had dark skin and real black hair.
Fast forward to 1995 and SHE had read somewhere about old dolls being very valuable, especially if they were unusual. So SHE took Janni out of the cupboard and placed her on the floor in the hallway with the idea of taking Janni to be valued at a near-by Auction House.
SHE was busy in the kitchen when SHE heard an extraordinary amount of noise coming from the hallway and looking out of the door, SHE saw the enchanting sight of Peter Pigeon with both wings spread low and very wide, doing a courtship dance in front of HER doll! He was cooing and snorting and doing all the correct movements that grown-up male Pigeons do to attract their mates.
SHE came out of the kitchen and bending down SHE picked Janni up and walked into the sitting room and sat on the sofa. Peter Pigeon followed at high speed and jumped up beside HER. He put his little head on one side and spoke in a low rumbling coo, then lay down and put his head on Janni's lap, his bright shiny boot button eyes were fixed onto her face and he continued to speak, the coo was very low and came from deeeep inside his little body, it rumbled and tumbled out of HER little fat grey London Pigeon. Peter Pigeon had fallen in LURVE.
For the next two years, if SHE wanted Peter to stay somewhere, all SHE had to do was put Janni on her bed on a towel, up would come Peter, he would lie beside her with his little head on her leg, fix her with his beady eyes and start his talk of lurve.. they were inseparable, if Janni was somewhere, that was where Peter Pigeon was.
And not once did Peter Pigeon comment that Janni was missing half her eyelashes or that she always wore the same skirt and had only one shoe, he LURVED her and that was quite enough for this little fat grey London Pigeon.
Janni never did go to the Auction House. Happy Easter to YOU all.
